Adams POV
I messed up big time! "MUM, I need to talk to you!" I said. "Yes darling what do you want to talk about." Mum said. "Mum when is Anika going home?" I asked trying to stay relaxed. "Erm... In a week or something. Why?" She asked. "Ughhh, why can't she just go to her own house.

Do you know what that sly cow is doing she's literally causing fights between me and Leah. You even know what that dog is like so why are you so nice to her? And now Leah's mad at me for lashing out on her because of that stupid bitch!" I said.

I didn't realise I was shouting. "Adam, stop shouting. I know what your cousin is like. But why are you shouting at Leah anyways? Isn't that what Anika wants?" Mum said rubbing my back.

"Look Adam, Leahs going to her house in a bit and you don't want her going there being all upset.

Console her Adam love her. And your dropping her off go on." Mum said, I guess she's right.
I ran upstairs to see Leah sitting on the couch reading. "You ready? I need to drop you off?" She didn't make eye contact but nodded.

She got up and got her stuff. "Leah wait." I said holding her arm. "Please, look I'm not perfect. I make mistakes. I hurt people. I'm human. But when I say sorry to you, from the bottom of my heart. I mean it."

"Sorry doesn't solve anything you know that right? Sorry doesn't make anything better it's just a stupid, meaningless word." Wow, I hurt her a lot.
...
The car ride was silent. Looking at Leah's face makes me feel like ripping ratatouille apart and feeding her to aggressive Lions.

Leahs POV
Hopefully, staying in Sophia's house will let me think things through. We fight over petty things. The car ride was completely silent. Every now and then I felt Adam look at me. I could see he was really sorry but what is sorry. To me it doesn't mean anything. I don't know why but deep down inside I felt bad.

We finally arrived and I knew I would miss his comfort.

Everything just fell about everything ratatouille came into the picture but what if she's intentionally doing this?

I shouldn't just be fully upset towards Adam should I? I went out of the car and Adam followed behind me.

Sophia opened the door. Her eyes were puffy and red. "Sophia what's wrong?" I asked panicking. "Leah-" her voice cracked. "Sophia tell me!" I said worrying. "Sophia!" I said crying. "Mum's in a coma." She said her voice was breaking. "What!" I said.

I almost fell and Adam caught me. "What happend?" Adam said his voice was breaking aswell. Him and aunty grew close. Real close. "I went to her room to wake her up and she didn't wake up." Sophia sobbed. "Why aren't you in the hospital?" I asked Sophia. "There not allowing me." She said.

I ran into the house grabbed my car keys and made my way to my car. "Leah where you going?" Adam asked. "To the hospital." I yelled back. Adam and Sophia followed me and we all went together.

...
"Erm excuse me where's Hanifa Ali held?" I asked the nurse. "Follow me." She said.

I followed her and we went into Ward 12.

We finally arrived at the room and I saw Aunty laying there still. She looked lifeless. Her body looked as if it couldn't cope anymore.

My heart sank, I felt dizzy. "Leah!" Adam said making me sit down. "Adam she can't leave." I said sobbing. "Leah, shush calm down please don't cry." He said wiping my tears. I hugged him. I needed his warmth and comfort. "Leah we are allowed to go in the room I suggest you go first." Sophia said. I nodded and slowly opened the door.

Looking at my aunty I felt scared for her. God knows what she's going through.

I sat beside the bed and held her hand. "Aunty, please don't leave me. Your everything thing I've got. I love you soo much. Thank you aunty for being the mother I never had. Thank you for adopting me. Thank you for being there. Thank you for everything you did for me. I promise you I will always love you. Without you, I don't know what I'd do. Without you, my life would be a living hell. Without you, I wouldn't have married Adam.
