Leah's POV
"Leah there's someone I'd like you to meet. Leah this is Khadija. Khadija this is my daughter Leah. Umm, Leah she's my new wife."
I couldn't feel my legs. Everything came crashing down. "Oh." Was all I said, and I let my tears flow. I couldn't feel my whole body. I was going to fall but Adam caught me. I quickly got up with the tiny bit of strength I had left. "Erm, where's the restroom?" I asked. "Umm... Go upstairs dear and it's on your right." Dad said. I walked up the stairs feeling weary and sick.
I entered the toilet and looked at my face. I completely broke down. I grabbed my phone and called Sophia.
"Hey, Leah thanks for inviting me to the party I had an AMAZING time!"
"Sophia." I whispered.
"Leah what's wrong? Why are you crying?" She asked."My- my erm dad got married again." I sobbed.
"What?!"
"What shall I do?" I asked wiping my tears away.
"Hmmm, Leah I think you should just let it be. Your dad finally found happiness after everything he's been through. Doesn't he deserve to live his days with someone who cares for him?"
"Erm, I suppose your right."
"Now wipe your tears away, fix up and enjoy yourself. I need to go, The Simpsons is on!"
"Okay thanks. Bye."I fixed up my makeup and went downstairs. My head began to throb a lot. I held the railing because I felt really dizzy. I entered the living room to see Adam and an unfamiliar boy, who looked the same age as me, playing Fifa 16 on the PS4. The living room and the kitchen were joint and they were massive. I looked around to see my dad and Khadija discussing something in the kitchen. I made my way to the kitchen.
"Dad, I'm sorry." I said, bowing my head down. "Oh, cupcake come here." He hugged me. "I'm sorry... umm aunty for not giving you a warm welcome." I said tucking my hair behind my ear. "It's fine and call me Khadija." I gave her a warm smile. "So when did you two get married?" I asked sitting down on a stool.
"Erm, Leah I've got a confession to make." Dad said scratching his head. "Erm I didn't go on a business I went to get married. I'm sorry I should of told you. I thought you would not accept and hate me. I couldn't bear to lose you again."
"It's okay dad." I said but I knew it wasn't. I know this is wrong but I just want to go home and sleep. "Dad, if your happy then I'm happy." I said smiling. "Let's get dinner ready." Khadija chirped. "No it's okay Khadija Adam and I ate." I said. "But won't you try my food." She pouted. "Only a little bit." I said. And she smiled mixing the rice with a wooden spoon.
"I'll leave you two ladies and join my wonderful son in law." Dad said making his way to Adam and that boy. "Umm, Khadija who's that with Adam?" I asked.
"Ohh, he's my son. His name is Samuel but we call him Sam or Sami." She smiled. "How old is he?" I asked. "He is a year older than you, which makes him 19." She said. "So Leah where did you and Adam meet huh?" Khadija said wiggling her eyebrows. "Ummm." I bowed my head again.
"In college." I said. "Is there something wrong?" She asked. "No everything's fine." I gave her a weak smile.
"Look Leah, I don't know what's happening but every couples they fight. They learn to forgive each other. And forgiveness makes them stronger. It builds up the relationship to be bigger and better than how it started." She patting my back. Is this woman a mind reader? How did she know we had a fight? Very interesting.
