Pipers POV
I slid into my spot at the table next to Brett and smiled at him as Mason was on his other side. I felt a hand slid over my shoulder as I looked up I saw Liam as he took his seat next to me. I smiled as he slipped his had slipped over my leg.
"So I was thinking you and I could hang out this weekend?" Liam said after eating half a sandwich in one bite. I smiled and looked up at him with and eyebrow crooked.
"Are you asking me out on a date?" A smirk captured his face and he looked at me. He moved his face closer to mine.
"Are you saying yes?" He asked as his breath fanned my face. I bit my lip and nodded but quickly moved away from Liam as both Aiden and Ethan came over. Liam still kept his gaze on my face and I then nodded at him causing his smirk the fade into a smile.
"Okay so Ryan." Liam's hand slipped from mine as Scott spoke from his place across the table from Liam. I sighed and didn't bother looking up at I knew I would be attacked by them now.
"Scott don't worry about it. II'll help Ryan and then he'll leave us alone. That was our deal." I said with a shrug and took a bite of my salad. Everyone was looking at me like I had three heads.
"What?" I growled and half the table looked away but Scott Stiles Lydia my brothers and Liam still looked at me. Liam's gaze switched to look at Scott.
"Does she really think that we're gunna let her do this alone?" He asks as if I'm not here. I scallow at him with my eyes burning into his skull.
"I. Can. Take. Care. Of. Myself." I shoved my body from the table and went to throw out my food before I felt a hand on my arm. I spun and saw Liam who's eyes were wide worried and confused. I narrowed my eyes at him and yanked my hand out of his grip.
"Piper-"
"Don't Piper me Liam. I can take care of myself." I said and he rolls his eyes at me and tries to take my hand once again. I instantly pull back as if his hand is acid burning mine.
"You don't think I can take care of myself." He seemed mad and as if he was going to yell. I saw his eyes flash and I took a step back. His hands were tight fists at his side and I was sure if it wasn't me he would have hit the next person to go near him.
"You know what! No I don't! I don't think you can watch after yourself! Your always almost dying okay!" Instantly his eyes changed back and his hand flew over his mouth as he realized what he had said. Then he began stammering an apology. Now I was almost in tears.
"Go to hell Liam." I then went running from the room and finally began crying as I hit the front doors of the school. Instantly running to the tree line and hiding behind a tree.
"What did that dick do now?" I looked up to see a pair of eyes that I recognized as Ryan's. He sat next to me leaning on the tree while I wiped my tears from my face.
"Do you think I can take care if myself?" I asked and he looked at me with a confused look.
"What?" I closed my eyes and hit my head against the tree while bitting my lip. I sighed.
"Just answer the question please." He was lucky that I hadn't growled at him for not just answering. He chuckled and placed a hand on my leg. His thumb dancing over my knee as he always had. He flashed his smile up to the sky.
"Pip after all the shit you've been though I'd say you can handle yourself very well. I think you're brave and confident but scared and caring, you're willing to put your life on the line to protect those who you care about. You can defiantly pull your own, I wouldn't have asked for your help if I don't think you could." I smiled a looked at him before sniffling.
"Thank you so much Ryan." I leaned my head on his shoulder and sniffled. He kissed my head and pulled my closer to him for a moment before giving me a suggestion.
"Lets go some place not so..... bug invested." I let out a giggle and nodded. He stood up and held his hand to me before pulling my body up to where it met his.
"Come on Ryan." I said pushing his body from mine and keeping his hand with mine before running to his car. I stopped to see Liam with a heartbroken face standing on the front steps of the school with the rest of the pack. I looked at the ground as I got in the car my eyes still locked on Liam.
"Lets go take care of the other part of the deal." Ryan looked at me with wide green eyes. He looked stunned before nodding for a moment.
