A Ring?

When I got up this morning Jai went to the gym, so I call Christina to come over. Times like this I need my girlfriends around. Christina comes over and says "So you told your guys parents and your dad stormed out and never came back?" I nod and say "yeah. he was really upset about it. but what I really called you over about was Jai asked me if I see a future with him." Christina squalls and says "maybe he didn't go to the gym maybe he really went to pick out a ring." I squall and say "omg can you only imagine me as Mrs. Courtney?" she giggles and say "yes I can I can!"

A few days later while hanging up Jai's jeans in the closet, I go to put rotate his jeans when a small box falls out of one of his jean pockets. I bend down and pick it up, and open it. I hear the front door close thinking it was jai I begin to panic and shove the ring back into the back pocket of his jeans. "What are you doing in the closet?" I hear I sigh of relief when I hear Christiana face. I reply "You scared the crap out of me. come here I have to show you something." She walks in and I dig into the pocket that I just put the box back in "am I sure I want to see this?" she says I reply "yes!" she replies "please tell me what your pulling out of...." I open the box and a shiny large diamond ring sparkles in the light. "OMG!!" Christina yells reply "shh Scarlett is sleeping." She giggles and says "your not supposed to see the ring." I reply "I was doing laundry and found it." she squalls "You better call me right after it happens, I better be the first to know." I reply "you will."

Later when jai comes home.

"Hi handsome" I say he replies "hey sweetheart." I smile wide think about the engagement ring I found. He says "don't make anything for dinner we are going out to dinner tonight, if that's okay with you." I smile and say "sure..but wait about Scarlett?" he replies "Mum said she will watch her." I smile and nod.

A couple of hours later I am putting my earring on when jai walks into the bathroom. "you look gorgeous but why are you so dressed up? We are just going to dinner." I just look at him and say "thank you, just felt it was appropriate." He chuckles and walk out. "come on we don't wanna be late." I nod and grab his hand.

At the restaurant we sit down at a table with an amazing view of the city. "It is lovely here." I say Jai replies "anything for you love." I smile wide when the waiter come and asks what are we drinking tonight.

After dinner we sit and the table enjoying each others company. I look away for a second and when I look up I see Jai is handing my ring to the guy right behind us. I look away trying to show jai I didn't see. Why is he handing my ring to a stranger? i take a sip of my sparkling water then I hear a scream and when I look up the man is down on one knee and his girlfriend is crying. "YESS, I'll marry you" she screams I get up from the table throw my napkin and storm to the bathroom with tears in my eyes.
