John Lennon is my favorite<3
Okay, so this is very different from what I usually write, sooo yeah. In this story they're at high school and they're just regular kids so no powers:)
Ring ring ring
The bell sounded, and last period was finally over. I sighed and grabbed my bag, which was overflowing with books. None of them were actually textbooks, though. It was mostly sketchbooks and a few novels I was reading.
I hurried out the door and down the hall. People automatically got outta the way when they saw me, out of respect obviously. They smiled, and waved, and cat called at me at I strutted by, Just like they did every day. Me, being the gracious princess I am, smiled and waved back at them. Finally, I reached room 307 and took my usual seat in the back, next to my best friend.
The blonde girl looked up from her phone, "hey girl! Omg you look perf, like, why can't I be as pretty as you!" I internally sighed at her meaningless compliments. Consequently, I baby talked right back at her, because what else was I supposed to do?
"Omg, Kitten, no. I am literally so jealous of you!" She smiled, satisfied with my response, and turned back to her phone.
And that pretty much sums up my relationship with Kitten, and everyone ever, for that matter. Everyone is so fake it hurts. And I must be the fakest one of all. I continue to complain about how fake everyone else is, but I am the epitome of typical popular trash. No wonder I don't have any real friends. If I ever shared any of my personal preferences or interests with my usual cliche, they either judge me or don't take me seriously. And if I try to make conversation or relate to the 'geeks' they automatically assume I'm a b*tch, or worse, they call me a poser.
So that is why internet friends are better then most people at my school.<3
"Alright, punks, welcome to detention." I raised my head and nodded acknowledging the strict old teacher. "Detention slips on my desk."
I got up, along with the rest of the students, and placed the pink slip on Mr. Thomson's desk.
"Alright," he shuffled the papers, "let's see what we got here. Roy Harper- cutting class, and caught in the janitor's closet with a girl." A few kids laughed and Mr Thomson rolled his eyes. "Kitten Moth- on her phone during class. Again, Kitten?"
Kitten looked up from her phone, "huh?"
The teacher ignored her and continued reading our names and our crimes, and last he called my name.
"Jinx- disrupting class and vulgar language. What's this, the third week, Jinx? When will you learn your lesson?"
"Maybe when they stop punishing me for expressing my opinions."
"You can't just say whatever you think!" He snapped back.
"Actually," I started, but I didn't get to finish my genius comeback. Right when I had began my rant on why the public school system is corrupt, some kid walked in and placed his pink slip on Thompson's desk.
He read it silently and told the boy to have a seat. Then he got up and before leaving the room, he said, "I'll be back in a few minutes. No funny business while I'm gone." By that, we knew he meant he was leaving and not coming back.
Once he walked out of the room, I got up and sat on the desk, so I had a good view of everyone. I looked curiously at the boy in the red and yellow hoodie, who was staring intently at the ground.
