Alone But Packed

Chapter 4

*Marie's POV*

I looked up at everyone, my eyes still wide. They still all looked really worried, I tried to calm down so they would too. But I was still confused, was I imagining this or was this real.

Trying to figure out what was going on I tried it again.

Lizzy? Is that really you?

Yeah! It's really me. I don't know how we are doing this, but somehow we are.

Hey Marie!!!! This voice I recognized as Lizzy's older brother, Josh.

A smile came on my face, and before I knew it I was laughing like crazy. Looking up at my cousins and Dan's confused faces only made me laugh more. Ty looked at Kyle, but Kyle just shook his head.

"I don't know. I have a sister, friends who are girls, and this crazy cousin, and I still don't understand girls." He told Ty, motioning to me.

This comment only made me laugh even harder than I already was, which doesn't seem possible. After I calmed down enough I responded to Lizzy and Josh in my head.

Oh my gosh, I'm sorry guys, but you scared me so bad, I almost fell. My cousins and friend think I'm crazy.

Oh sorry didn't mean to scare you there. Lizzy responded.

I would have loved to see your face just then!!! Josh laughed.

I'm sure you would. I retorted.

I looked back up at everyone, who was still looking at me strangely. I smiled, but managed to press down my laughter.

"Oh, sorry guys. I'm fine, yeah. You're never going to believe this, but I'm talking to my friend and her brother in my head right now." I said.

"Yeah, sure you are." Kyle said a smirk forming on his face. "Alright let's go."

Hey Lizzy, can I talk to my cousins in my head do you know?

Um.....I don't know. Test it out. She suggested.

Hey Kyle!!! I shouted in my head, watching Kyle beginning to walk away.

"Woah, who said that?!?!?!?!?!" He jumped back and started swinging his arms around like he was a karate master, and his head started turning in every direction searching for the source.

I started laughing once again, and knowing how funny Kyle's reaction was I wondered what the other's reaction would be. So I quickly sent them all a thought message.

Cam who had turned to watch Kyle with a puzzled look on his face, had begun to turn back when suddenly he froze and turned his from side to side looking for who had spoken.

Ty had also frozen, but instead of his head moving, just his eyes were moving back and forth, with a terrified look on his face.

Dan looked like he was about ready to start screaming any second now.

Seeing all of this I laughed so hard that I could barely breathe.

Did you do it yet? Lizzy asked anxiously.

Oh yeah. You should have seen their faces. I told her still laughing.

Everyone turned to me and at the same time said "MARIE!!!!!!!"

I calmed down enough to speak and explain what happened.

"OK, OK, I'm sorry. For some reason I can talk to you all in my head, along with my friend and her brother. Hey, why don't you guys try saying something to me in your head." I suggested.

Oh, I am soooo getting payback for scaring me like that. I recognized the voice as Dan's. Turning to him I smiled along with a light laugh.

No your not. You are not going to give her payback or anything else for that matter. I looked over towards the owner of this voice, it was Ty. He was looking at Dan with narrowed eyes and a scowl on his face. Looking back at Dan, I noticed he was very confused as to why Ty was not accepting him as much as Kyle and Cam.

Hey look, I can do it too!! I laughed at how excited Cam was, but I have to admit it was very cool.

Me too!!! This voice belonged to Kyle.

"Told you guys I wasn't crazy." I huffed.

"Wait, you said you could talk to your friend and her brother too right?" Cam asked.

"Yeah, why?" I responded confused.

"Well, if you can how come we can't?" He wondered, and I just shrugged.

"Hang on I'll ask her."

Hey Liz, why can't my cousins and friend talk to you guys?

Um..., I don't know. Maybe because we don't know them, so we can't talk to each other. She reasoned.

"She thinks maybe it's because you don't know each other." I relayed the message to everyone.

"That makes sense." Ty agreed.

Hey why don't you and Josh come over to my house and we can all form a kind of pack. I suggested.

That's a great idea! Josh exclaimed.

Yeah it is, thanks for the offer. We'll be over in 15 minutes, okay? Lizzy added.

K, sounds good, see you then. I responded.

"Hey, guys my friend and her brother are coming over to my house, so we can all stay together until we can figure out what's going on." I informed them all.

"Alright," they all said in unison.

"Hey, Marie!!!" I heard a voice call behind me, and knew it was Rachael.

"Hey, what's up?" I greeted her.

"I was just wondering if you wanted to form a kind of group with us?" She said, motioning to the three people behind her.

"Thanks anyway, but I have my own pack." I thanked her.

"Alright, good luck then." She said giving me a hug.

"You to." I offered her a smile, trying to reassure her, seeing she was nervous. She turned and walked away with the other three people.

"Alright, you guys ready to go then?" I asked as I started to walk past everyone.

"Murry, your seeming to forget that we don't have a way to get to your house." Cam stated matter of factly.

"And you're seeming to forget Cammie, that we have a car here that no one is using." I reminded him, grabbing the keys and tossing them to him.
