*Marie's POV*

I bit my lip to hold a chuckle, and it shook the rest of my body. Ty had fallen asleep, so I started drawing on his face with a pink marker. He currently had a mustache, goatee, and extended eyebrows. After I was finished, everyone wrote little notes on his arms. The notes all said 'hey Ty' or 'wassup', but Cam wrote (through Kyle because Cam was still driving) 'hey Ty what's up? whatever you do don't look in the mirror. you might scare yourself'.

"Marie, stop moving." Ty groaned, he looked a little groggy still, but kept his eyes open. I tried to hold back my laughter, but a giggle escaped my lips. "Why are you laughing?" He asked suspiciously.

"No reason." I said, but once again a small giggle escaped.

"What did you do?" He asked, his eyes widening, fully awake now.

"Nothing, nothing at all." I insisted.

Ty quickly glanced around at everyone who all were struggling to hold in their laughter. He looked back  at me briefly before looking down at his arms. His mouth dropped open, and he looked back up at all of us.

"What did you do?" He asked us, his eyes wide.

"Read your arms." Lizzy chuckled. Ty glanced at her briefly then down at his arms.

"CAM! Did you leave this one!" He shouted. He nodded and chuckled.

"Wait. Marie, why didn't you write anything?" Ty questioned.

"I left you something else." I smirked, while he gave me a puzzled expression.

"Hey Ty, read my note again." Cam grinned.

"I get it Cam, your a big bully." Ty huffed.

"That's not what I meant. Read it again, and think about it this time.......if  you can." He muttered the last part under his breath.

"I heard that." Ty scowled.

"Just read it."

Ty looked down and read the note again. He scrunched his face up in confusion, then glanced up to Cam. He shifted his gaze to me, when a look of realisation came over his face.

"Give me a mirror." He demanded. Lizzy handed him a small mirror from her bag. Taking it he peered in the mirror cautiously, afraid of what he might see.

"Marie, what did you do." He shouted his eyes wide. We all started laughing at his reaction. "This isn't funny!" But we just laughed harder.

"Oh, come on, you can't be mad at me, I'm your favorite cousin." I chuckled, poking him in the side.

"I thought I was your favorite cousin!" Kyle whined. "You said so when I bought you that.....ohhhh......HEY." He pouted, crossing his arms over his chest, which looked funny since he was one of the two oldest.

Ty chuckled. "Welcome to the world of kissing up to people. Besides I don't have a favorite cousin. If I did the rest would eat me alive. But, Marie has always been special to me, you know that."

"Wow man...I thought we had something special." Cam faked hurt, but you could see the glint in his eye.

"Yeah, but whatever it was vanished when you almost killed me hitting a stupid deer." Ty countered, his voice growing louder at the end.

"HEY!.....I didn't hit it." Cam's voice grew softer at the end of his sentence. I chuckled at his defensiveness. To someone else it might appear as if they were fighting, but I knew they were just joking around. My cousins and I hardly ever fight with each other, but if we do it's over in ten minutes.

"Oh, yeah, that's right, because you slammed on the brakes and sent me and Marie through the windshield." He said sarcastically.

"It's a good thing I was here to catch you." He replied in a singsong voice.

"You guys are ridiculous. Most cousins have fun with each other by playing football, basketball, pretty much anything. But instead you to decide to 'fight'. You guys are so werid." Kyle broke in smirking knowing that he does the same thing.

"Wait...you mean that wasn't real fighting?" Lizzy asked her eyes wide in surprise, but her lips were curved into an amused smile.

"No, of course not. We hardly ever fight with each other." I told her.

"I thought you guys were fighting for real!" Josh exclaimed.

"Me too!" Dan echoed.

"No, we hardly ever do, like Marie said. We all love each other." Kyle explained chuckling.

"Yeah and when we do, it's always the guys fighting over the food." I smirked.

"Hey when Cam's hand comes shooting over to your plate faster than a bullet you'd get upset too....no pun intended." Kyle huffed.

"Yeah, but Kyle, your hits on the hand hurt just as much as a bullet would." Ty put in.

"Oh yeah? If anyone tries to steal your food you turn into a wolf and growl at them." Kyle shot back.

"Guys, stop arguing there's not even food here and your fighting about it." I sighed.

"Wait, that wasn't play fighting. Oh my gosh you guys are ridiculous." Josh complained. This caused my cousins and I to laugh, and just like that the little argument was over.

"Uh, guys we have to stop for gas." Cam stated suddenly.

"How far down are we?" Kyle questioned.

"We have just enough to make it to the gas station we passed about a mile back." Cam said doing a wide U-turn in the middle of the street.

We finally reached the gas station and what I saw surprised me. There were four pumps, three had cars along side them, but were empty of course. There was also a little store that sold candy, drinks and things for cars. This wasn't what surprised me though, what caught my attention was the three children sitting just outside the store. Two girls and a boy. The one girl looked about 4, but the other older ones looked about the same age, maybe 10 or 11.

Everyone climbed out of the car talking and laughing, but my attention was focused on the three children.

I glanced over at Lizzy and saw that she too was watching the three kids. She looked over at me and raised an eyebrow in question.

What do you think three kids are doing out here by themselves? Her voice flooded my mind.

I don't know. They look so young maybe there is someone else with them. I suggested doubtfully.

Let's go over and talk to them.

I nodded in agreement. We started over towards them, while the guys ran to catch up with us. The three children stood up and eyed us suspiciously. We stopped with about 5 feet between us and the kids.

What are they doing here by themselves? Kyle wondered in our minds.

I don't know....I'll go talk to them. Josh replied.

Josh took a couple of steps forward. The little girl grabbed on to the boy's hand, while the older girl took a step closer to the boy. The boy stood and stared intently at Josh, watching him closely.

Josh turned to look at us with a look of question on his face. We shrugged in confusion, not understanding why they were so afraid.

Cam walked forward and stopped, even with Josh. He turned to Josh and opened his mouth as if to say something, but changed his mind and closed it again. He turned back towards the kids and took a small step forward. The kids took a step back. Cam took another step forward, and the kids agian backed away.

Now their backs were against the door and they couldn't get away.
