When I opened my eyes in the morning, I felt like death. Literally I felt like death. I looked around the room, realizing I was in my own bedroom.
What the mint choc chip happened last night?
All I could remember was dancing on the table and then falling, into somebody's arms. Then I must have passed out. Ugh, one thing I hated about drinking too much, was when I forget everything that happened. I partly blame Tommy, I was supposed to be his date and he vanished somewhere. I patted the bed for my phone, finding it on my beside table, I checked the time and groaned, I had to get up for school.
Just as I was about to get up, the door creaked open and mom's head popped in. She was still in her nightie, "Stay in bed baby, I already called in and told them you were feeling sick" she said. I dropped my head back down on the pillow, "I love you ma" I said, she laughed and made her way to my bed. She lifted up the covers and slid in behind me, I felt her arm wrap around me. I grabbed it and hugged it to me, closing my eyes. "You partied hard last night" she murmured to me, "Yeah, I needed to let off some steam", "I was quite surprised when I opened the door and saw you with someone who clearly wasn't Tommy".
Come again?
I shot up, too fast. My head cursed at me, punishing me with pain. I turned over to look at my mom, "What did he look like?" I asked quickly. She smirked and got up, crossing her legs. "Oh Dawn, he was a looker" she began.
"You looked tiny in his arms, he was tall, messy black hair, a jaw so defined Picasso could have painted it himself" she paused taking a deep breath in. "But the part that struck me most, were his eyes, they were like the Caribbean sea, many shades of blue". I didn't need to hear any more, I already knew who she was talking about. Once again only one person I knew could be compared to the Caribbean sea.
You too know who it is.
I got out of bed, looks like I was going to school today. I didn't bother with dressing up. I threw my hair into high ponytail, wiped my smeared make up off. I picked out some shorts and an oversized gray hoodie, oh lets not forget my combats. I grabbed my bag and my phone, leaving mom in my bed, I hopped down the stairs and out the door.
The sun was out, but there was still a sight breeze. I hopped into my car and sped off to school.
Obviously, I arrived a class late, period two had already started. I ran in through the door, skidding through the corridors. Once my eyes landed on room 128, History, I halted. Fixing my hair and my clothes, I walked in. Mr Henderson paused his speech, "Miss Phillips, how nice of you to join us" he said smiling. "Sorry, I'm late sir, I was feeling sick this morning but I'm better now" I lied. Mr Henderson was too gullible for his own good, he only nodded and continued his lesson. I made my way to my seat. Sen was giving me a curious look as I sat down.
"Okay, mother Satan spill" she demanded crossing her arms over her chest. "Your boobs look great in that shirt" I said hoping to change the subject. She cocked her head to the side, "I know they do, don't try changing the subject". Well skittles, "Nothing to spill, I got wasted last night", that was part true. "Mhmmmmm" she said dragging the sound out. I felt eyes burning holes in the back of my head.
Me being me had to see who had a staring problem. I looked over my shoulder and my eyes connected with the Caribbean sea mom was fanning over mere minutes ago. I started back, not backing out. He cocked his head to the side, a smirk hinting at his lips. I arched my brow at him, the chicken was he staring at? Last time I checked this asshole was being a douchebaggle to me. I wanted to know why he helped me last night.
