Chapter 20

"Somebody call 911, Josie's ass is burning in the sun, Ooh" I burst out laughing as Josie got up from the lounge chair she was sunbathing on and proceeded to hide under the shade of the palm tree. We've been laying out in the back for the past hour, it wasn't even 11am and the sun was already in full swing. I didn't mind the sun, In fact despite me being a winter lover, the sun was doing me good right now. Josie however not so much, her skin was as white as milk and burned tomato red under the flames of the tropical sun.

The rest of the squad was all over the place, Sen and my brother were somewhere on a date, their first official 'non secret hidden from Dawn' date. She was all giddy and girly when he said she looked stunning, and fuck yeah she did, she platted her hair into a side braid and wore a cute white Boho dress. I still wasn't used to Sen acting normal, don't get me wrong I still loved her like a sister but sure as Hell was different. Usually when guys complimented her, or even looked at her for too long, she's whip out her switchblade and ask which part of their body they wanted to lose. Now, she squirmed under my brothers lustful gaze. I watched as they both left, like a proud mother letting her babies out of her nest. Ugh how tragic am I?

Tommy was out on the private beach taking pictures of the scenery, that's right Tommy is a sucker for a nice picture, he adores the outdoors, and when he sees something beyond beautiful he has to capture it's beauty for memory. He was taking pictures of everything. Birds. Sea. Trees. girls on the beach. Sand. Shells. Everything. Tommy had a talent, a very rare one at that. He could capture the most unique pictures without even intending to.

Dan and Taylor were inside the house, playing pool. They started a game last night after we got home from the public beach and after several draws they were still debating on who was the squad champion.

Lastly Keith, Keith was fuck knows where. He disappeared this morning, not telling me where he was running off to. Whatever I don't care. Well I do but I don't want to. If that makes sense even in the slightest. Yesterday when he met that chick on the beach I stopped paying attention to him every second. He was having fun, so why shouldn't I. "I hate your genes Dawn" Josie groaned from under the cover of the palm trees, "and why is that my dear Ariel?" I asked using her new nickname, last night she was pretending she was a mermaid while drunk as fuck, so we all started calling her Ariel.

She sent me a look and looked out onto the sea, "your skin doesn't turn pink or red, it tans, you have the perfect skin, I hate you" she exasperated throwing her hands in the air. I sat up and angled my body toward her, "listen bitch, I wish I fucking had your blue eyes, I wish I had your fucking legs that go on for bloody miles, I wish I had a boyfriend like yours and I fucking wish my father loved me for me and treated me like his little princess and not a toy he could show off to his friends" I ranted, her mouth snapped shut and the surroundings became silent for a mere second.

"You dad is an asshole I don't even know why Pam is still with him, she deserves so much better, she's such a hottie she could be your sister" I laughed at that, although it was true, "and as for the boyfriend, you'll find someone soon enough, with a face and body like yours it's a matter of time" she assured. I smiled at her and she smiled back, Dan came storming out of the house, his face angry and frustrated, "what's wrong gorgeous?" Josie asked as he dropped to the ground beside her chair, laying his head in her lap, she ran her hand through his messy blonde hair.

"I lost" he mumbled into her legs, she looked at me and held in her laughter. Danny was so cute when he was angry, like a child who lost a race. "Oh it's okay, I'm sure you'll get him back" she soothed, he looked up at his girlfriend and his eyes brightened up, "I love you" he said, she smiled warmly at him, grabbing his chiseled face in her delicate hands, " I love you" she replied. "Okay, I'm going to take my single ass inside" I said awkwardly standing up and making my way inside the house.
