Being alone is scary, but knowing you are not alone and something you don't know is with you, is even scarier.
The group was panicking. They wanted to get out of the house. Although, something is keeping them away from their freedom.
"I guess we should read the diary already. I think it can give us clues on how to get out of this place." Mal suggested.
The group, knowing that they had no other option, agreed.
Mal started opening the diary. On the second page was a journal entry. It read:
" Dear diary,
Today, father went away. He left me with mom. I think they had a fight. Will he come back? I don't know..
I need to tell you something. Can you keep it a secret? I noticed mom.. for the past couple of days, she has been talking to the walls. It is kinda creepy knowing that there is nothing there, am I right? Please don't tell her I told you. I'm scared. We both know what she can do if she gets angry.
Oh, look here she is! I need to go!
Bye diary!
-Alice "
"Woah, you guys. She wrote down stuff in her diary as if she was talking to someone. I wonder what her mom can do." Reign broke the silence.
"Let us look for more clues around the living room. We need to know about Alice or whoever locked us in here." Cass said.
Everyone agreed and started searching. They opened the drawers, checked under the coach, lifted up tables. All they found was papers. They had scribbles on them. It looked like as if a child drew them.
Phillip and Reign checked under the couch's pillows. There, they suddenly found a photo. This time, it was a family photo. There was a girl, a middle-aged lady, a tall man, and a little girl about the age of 8.
"It is a family photo. Maybe this was the people who owned this place." Mal said.
"I think so. But, is it just me or does that little girl at the back look creepy. If you noticed, she is at the very back of the photo. She should not be there if she was supposed to be in the family portrait." Cass noticed.
All of a sudden, the little girl's eyes in the photo moved. It stared at them quickly and then it returned back to normal.
They quickly dropped the photo fearing that something might come out of it. As they dropped it, the picture fell down. This time, it faced the other way. At the back of the photo, it was more words.

You will also have a chance to save me.
"I guess the riddle game is on. The faster we can solve these riddles, the faster we can get out of here!" Mal said relieved. She wanted to get out of the house as soon as possible. She misses her siblings, her mom, and she missed the comfort and safety of her house.
"Let's split up. Reign and Mal, you should go together. Look upstairs for more clues. I will stay here with Cass and search here too. As for the basement, we should all probably go later. Does it sound like a plan?" Phillip suggested.
"Yep, it does. Come on, Mal. We must search as hard as we can." Reign replied. He and Mal went up the stairs and slowly vanished.
As for Cass and Phillip they started searching on the main floor.
