Everyone was trying to wake up Reign. He seemed to have a scratch on his forehead. It was the shape of a V. No one knew what exactly happened.

"Did you see how he got the scratch?" Cass asked. No one said anything. The two just simply shook their head.

"I saw the hand. It had long nails, it was pale, and it has a lot of blisters." Phillip said. "Something is in here. Let's bring him upstairs."

Phillip took Reign's left arm while Cass took the right. Mal tried to carry his legs. They were too heavy so she had to switch roles with Phillip. They were on the last step on the staircase going up when the door closed. It locked.

"What is it with this house and locking doors?" Mal screamed. Then, a small lightbulb grew bright. It was flickering a bit but it was enough light to see what happened in the basement.

EEEEEEEKKKK.

Loud scratches could be heard from the walls. A few chuckles emerged from the silence too. "Your poor friend. He came to visit me. I was about to let him join me but he touched my property. You see, the Art of the Dead is a very important book. For me, it is my life."

Three of them turned around and saw. There standing at the bottom of the step was a lady in white. She was the crazy lady they had been seeing in the albums and videos.

Phillip was scared out of his mind. "What have you done to all the other girls and the man who lived here?"

"Oh, you mean Alice, Lucy, and Barry? Let's just say, I took care of them." She replied with a wide grin plastered on her face. "They thought I was crazy, but I'm not. She's real. She is going to come get everyone who hurt her. She'll hurt you and your friends but, she promised me, she will never hurt me. She is my best friend."

"What are you talking about, crazy lady?!" Mal just wanted to get out quickly.

"Well my dear friend Veronica, is here? Haven't you seen her? She likes to stay in the dark. She doesn't like the light very much."

They all looked around, darkness was everywhere. Veronica could be beside them and they would never know.

"They all told me I was insane, out of my mind, and a lunatic. Well, they were all wrong. I was so glad that Veronica was there when nobody else was. Imagine, my family. They never believed in me. They probably never loved me." She sobbed. She was shouting. Her voice was croaky. Her hair was all messed up. Her clothes were torn in all places. She also looked like she hadn't showered in a month.

"You must think I'm crazy too!" She spat as she pointed to them. "Don't worry, I'll make Veronica get you."
