It was awkward the whole time painting after the kiss. Delilah stayed around Claire more than me. She didn't really talk as much eather. When we finish Claire's room for the day she watched Claire walk out.
"We aren't cancelling?" She asked.
"No we aren't canceling." I said. She smiled and told me goodnight. I said goodnight back and she came back with a black sleeping bag for me. I took it and smiled at her. I set it out and fell asleep.
*The Next Day*
Delilah's POV
Claire threw a pillow at me this morning to wake me up. I groan and pick it up and throw it her. But I'm a bad throw so it landed in Joey's face.
"Haha." Claire mouthed. I rolled my eyes. The plan was me and Joey were going to 'get some supplies' at the store at 12. It was 10 right now. Joey winked at me and I chuckled and watched him go to get his shower.
"Fix eggs and bacon!" I whine at Claire.
"Why don't you?" Claire asks mocking my voice.
"Because, I'd burn the place down." I said in my normal voice.
FLASHBACK
"Delilah what are you doing?" Claire asked as she peaked and saw me cracking an egg.
"Making breakfast." I said as it was obvious.
"Oh okay." She said walking away to pour some water. I went and saw I had a text from my now ex- Drake.
'hey bae, morning xx' It read. I smiled to myself and replied back. We got into texting and I completely forgot about the burning food.
"Do you smell burning?" Claire asks walking past me. I shoot up and dash into her moms kitchen.
"CLAIRE GRAB THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER!" I scream. She hands it to me quickly and I spray out the fire saving all of humanity and stuff.
END OF FLASHBACK
"Oh yeah." Claire said remembering. She walked over to make pancakes. I sat around until Joey came down. He was wearing auburn jeans and his usual striped shirts. I skip up the steps after him and turn on my iTunes and put it on shuffle. Daylight by Maroon 5 comes on when I get in. I sing along to it in the shower. After that Stay by Rihanna comes on. After that finishes I step out and wrap my towel around me. I put on a floral crop top, high waisted hot pink shorts, aqua blue-green pumps, a denim vest, black nerd glasses, a beanie, an infinity necklace, and a bunch of random bracelets. Lets face it, I'm a show off-y girl. I blow out my hair out like usual and apply light make-up. I carefully skip down the stairs and check the time. 11:34. I look at Joey and smile. He smiles back.
"Food!" Claire said as I walked over to the seat next to Joey. I plopped down in it and grabbed the bacon and took a bite out of it.
"You know I really basically just wanted the bacon." I say shrugging and finishing the first peice of bacon. Claire rolls her eyes and I smile at her and take out my camera.
"Yolo guys! Say hi Claire and Joey!" I say pointing the camera to Claire and Joey. Claire had a mouthful of eggs so she just waved and Joey said hi.
"Well, I'm not really eating I just stole a few pieces of bacon but they are and stuff. Anyways I'm going to tell you a dumb fact because I can't really think of anything to do. Did you know that men are more likely to be struck with lightning than woman?" I asked fake gasping into the camera. Joey's head shot up.
"Whatchu mean girl?" He says quickly. I laugh really hard.
"So yeah... I'll be back in a few my glorious peasants!" I say laughing and covering the lens with my hand. I see Joey finished so I get up and look at him. Then I turn to Claire.
"Well Claire, me and Joey are going to get the supplies for the room!" I squeal handing Joey the keys. Claire looks at us confused but nods and turns her attention back towards her food. Me and Joey walk out hand in hand.
"Lets go!" I squeal jumping into the passengers side.
