(Justin)

I had finally got dressed, and it was almost time to leave for dinner. I kept checking myself in the mirror. Sounds like a girly thing to do. But I wanted to look good. I mean, this was the last night. I knew she was going to look beautiful, she always does.

I waited patiently on the couch, I was so nervous, but I didn’t know why. I had gone out with Emily all the time, and with other girls too. So why was I acting so weird? I could feel my palms increasing in sweat.

Chill Justin, Relax I told myself.

My thoughts were interrupted by the slight clonk of high heels against the floor. I sat up immediately, and shifted to the bottom of the stairs.

Emily slowly descended the staircase. Everything about her was perfect. Indescribable.

My mouth dropped, mesmerized by her beauty. She was wearing the dress we’d bought yesterday. From her high heels to her beautiful long brown hair, she was perfect.

She began to reach the bottom steps, and a small, faint smile appeared on her face. It was like off a movie, where everything was slow-motion and unreal. My stomach was doing flips, and my breathing slowed down. I knew this was what it felt. What it felt to be in love. It truly was the best feeling in the world.

Emily reached the floor and she was inches away from my face.

“Wow” I managed to croak. I could see how fragile she was though. I could see in her eyes that she could burst out into tears at any moment. I hated knowing that.

She blushed, and looked down.

“You’re beautiful baby” I tilted her chin up, so I could look into her eyes. I kissed her then, before she could say anything. She pulled away, and bit her lip. I took her hand and led her towards the door. This was my last day to make her feel like a princess.

(Emily)

I was nervous. I was scared. I was on the verge of crying. Although, through all the mixed emotions, I was excited too.

I didn’t know where we were having dinner either. Another surprise Justin had for me.

We both got into the car, and he held my hand while he drove. I had shiver all down my spine, and I couldn’t contain myself from smiling so much.

When he was driving, Justin kept looking over at me. Not saying anything, but he just kept looking at me. As if he was ready for something or keen for something. But I wasn’t sure what.

Finally, Justin pulled up out the front of a familiar restaurant.

“Have I been here before?” I asked, stepping out of the car in sync with Justin.

“We came here last year, it was one of the first place’s we came to, when we first started going out” Justin responded, looking proud of himself.

“Oh my god It is!” I exclaimed, as Justin came by my side to hold my hand.

“C’mon, let’s go eat.”

Justin pulled me into the restaurant. It’s familiar scent triggered my memory of when we came here last. We both shared chip’s and nuggets, because we both didn’t bring enough money to have anything dearer.

“Over here” he leaded, putting his hand in front of a booth.

I slid in and so did he.

“Menu’s?” I asked, playing with a part of loose hair.

“Already set our orders.”

“You organized it all already?” I asked astonished.

“Yep. I organized it last week. We’ve got the whole place to ourselves, and I’ve already planned out everything” he grinned, and held my hand across the table.

“Aw, Justin” I giggled.

He smiled hugely, and bent over to kiss me on the forehead.

Not soon afterwards, two waiter’s come out of a door in the corner.

One was holding 2 strawberry milkshakes, and the other was holding a plate of chips and nuggets.

I smiled so big at Justin when they placed them on our table.

He looked at me, waiting for me to laugh. So we both did, and started to eat the meal.

“You’re such a charmer” I said sarcastically.

“Thanks. I do try my hardest” he laughed back, scoffing down a nugget.

It was really quiet, but it was really nice. It was peaceful, and it felt like Justin and I were the only one’s in the world.

We both finished the nuggets, and he pushed them to the side. Justin’s face became serious.

He grabbed both of my hands. “Let’s go for a walk.”

Oh no. Something’s going to happen here. We exited the restaurant walking in the midst of the night. It was empty, and I couldn’t see anyone in sight.

“Look Emily. I know this is going to be, super hard for us both.” Justin started. “It’s going to be hard to stay away from you for 3 months. I’ve done it before, but this time it’s going to be even more difficult. Emily, you know how much you mean to me, don’t you?”

I nodded and gulped. I was scared for the next thing he’d say.

“You’re my world. You’re the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on, and I’m so proud to call you mine. You’re incredible, you make me laugh, smile, cry. I mean, when you find “The One” you’re supposed to never let her out of your sight, right? Well I’m pretty convinced you’re the one for me.”

He stopped, and so did my breath.

“I, I love you Emily.”

Justin got down on one knee, and I knew what this meant. I felt a sudden burst in my heart, and I felt stupid for starting to cry.

“Will you marry me?” Justin held out a small, blue velvet box containing a beautiful crystal ring.

“Oh my god” I could barely breathe. I was merely convinced the world had stopped right at that moment. I couldn’t speak. I was in a trance, and my words weren’t coming out.

I snapped out of it, and finally regained my breath.

“Yes, of course I will” I exclaimed, as Justin’s face brightened up. He slid the ring on my finger and then jumped up and planted his lips on mine.

(Justin)

I could barely keep my lips of hers. Knowing Emily was mine to keep forever, just made me want her more.

“Does this mean..?”

“You’re coming on tour with me baby” I screamed at the top of my lungs.

She just laughed, and kissed me again as I put my keys in the ignition.

“Justin, it’s beautiful” Emily said, gazing at the ring again.

“You’re more beautiful” I flirted again, looking at her. I couldn’t keep my eyes off her.

The road wasn’t too busy tonight. Which was good. I couldn’t keep myself from looking at her, she was so happy. I kept exchanging glances from the road to her.

“I love you Justin.”

“I love you too Emily” I said taking her hand and looking into her eyes.

I didn’t stop looking at her. She was beautiful and now she was mine.

Emily’s face dropped suddenly, looking ahead of her.

“JUSTIN LOOK OUT!” she screamed, pointing to the car in front of us. I saw the red car charging towards us, and my stomach instantly dropped.

I quickly swerved the car, attempting to get out of the car’s pathway. But it missed, and the last thing I saw was a flash of light.
