I sneaked out of the bathroom, drying my hair with a towel, and entering my bedroom, making sure Justin wasn’t in there. He wasn’t. I put on my favourite blue dress, and black flats, and dried my hair. I rushed my make-up, and tied my hair into a messy bun. Gracefully, I dismembered the staircase, like in a movie.

Justin was wearing a blue shirt, with jeans. It took me a moment to realize he must’ve gotten dressed, while I was showering. I blushed, remembering that I had been singing in the shower. His eyes brightened when he caught my glance. I had never seen him look at me like that before. I smiled largely, probably looking like an idiot.

When I was only a few inches apart from him, he flipped his hair and took my hand.

“You look beautiful Emily” he spoke in a hustled tone.

“Thank you,” I replied, blushing again. “What are we doing?”

“Oh, this way” he said pointing in the direction of the balcony. He pulled me around, past the stairs until I could see the tiny table and chairs, with a candle-lit dinner arranged.

He looked at me waiting for my reaction.

“Justin, you did this?” I asked, still surprised.

“Yep. Its kind of hard making a meal for 2 in half an hour, but I managed a dish.” He smiled, taking me over to the table.

I looked into the bowls, that were on the table. I laughed when I saw the two packets of two minute noodles.

“Don’t Judge me, you know I can’t cook. I’ll take you out to dinner properly this week.” he laughed, sitting down.

“No, no, It’s perfect” I laughed, whilst he flipped his hair again.

“Dig in,” he giggled, starting to munch on the noodles.

I smiled widely, and began to eat.

(Justin)

The way she looked at me, just made my heart skip a beat. I had never felt this way about anyone before, but I could tell I was completely, and utterly in love with her. I felt so lucky to be with someone like her, because I know how much it hurt us both when I went on tour.

I was glad to be back with her, because I was always happy around her.

She was lost in the moment, thinking about something seriously.

“Baby, whats wrong?” I asked, reaching for her hand across the table.

“Do you remember, when we first hung out. We went to that carnival near your house, and we went on the ferris wheel. I was so scared of heights, and then you told me to close my eyes, and then you hugged me tightly? I had never felt so safe in my life” she told me, smiling crookedly, with her hand supporting her chin.

“Of course I do,” I smiled, remembering the cold winters night.

“And that weird guy who kept looking at you” I laughed remembering the old man who kept watching us.

Emily bursted out laughing, and her laugh made me laugh too.

My phone started ringing.

“It’s mum, I’ll be back in a second” I told her, walking into the house, and answered the phone.

“Hey mum”

“Hey sweetie, I just wanted to let you know that your father, Kenny, Ryan and I are going out for dinner, and meeting and we won’t be back until tomorrow afternoon. Are you going to be okay?”
