•The Civil Bore. ... Would I be making more money than you?
I stared at him, speechless."But...why? I thought you two loved each other?" I asked.
"Well...things soon got really awkward between us. So, we decided to break up. Now, we can talk to each other more easily and we're still good friends." Farkle explained while I took in everything.
"Anyways, are you feeling better? You could lend my shoulder to cry on if you want. We are best friends after all!"
I shook my head as I felt that I had bothered him enough. And also because I had cried so hard just now, I would end up choking if I tried to cry again. (A/N: I know, it doesn't make sense. But, hey! It's a fanfiction~ :P)
After that, we just sat on my bed in silence for a while. "So...um...are you still going to Riley's Christmas party?" Farkle reminded me.
Riley had invited us to her apartment on Christmas Eve for a party a few weeks ago. We were going to be sleeping over-which Mr.Matthews had to agree to because of Mrs.Matthews-and then spend Christmas the whole day at her apartment. We would also be opening our presents there, so we had to bring all our presents to Riley's apartment.
'I guess I should still go. If I didn't, they would think that I'm affected by all this. I don't want them to see my broken side...especially Lucas...' I thought to myself. I told Farkle that I was still going and he gave me two thumbs-up. I gave him a friendly push which resulted in the both of us laughing when he fell to the floor.
Farkle stood up and climbed back out my bay window. We both said goodbye and he left. I unlocked the door to my room and went downstairs to get a snack.

Sorry for the short chapter! >~< And yes, the Christmas party at Riley's apartment(the Matthews' apartment) will be the Christmas special chapter.
