"Ready to start your new life?" Says Austin, starting up the car and smiling at me warmly.

I nod and smile back and grab my cracked and falling apart iPod out of my pocket and put an earphone in and play some Papa Roach while we drive.

"Your iPod is looking pretty used," says Austin as he waits for the street light to turn green, "I think we should go shopping, how does that sound?"

"You're not spending your money on me," I say looking up at him and turning my music up louder to block him out,

"You're my daughter, I have the right to spoil you," he says driving towards the mall,

"Don't call me your daughter, you barely know me, you left my mother with me and never bothered to call her!" I say harshly, and instantly feel bad as he suddenly looks sad and pulls over,

"Your mums dad wouldn't let me see her after he found out she was pregnant with you," he says looking at me with sad eyes, "after a few months, they moved and I lost contact. don't think I didn't try to contact her." Says Austin looking back at the road, his eyes filling with tears, making me totally regret bringing up mum.

"Austin, I-I'm sorry," I say, starting to cry, "I miss mum."

"I do too, when I got the call she passed, I knew I had to come find you." he says and he pulls me under his arm and rubs my back, just like mum did whenever I was sad.

"Come on," he says letting me go and turning off his car, "let's go shopping."
I wipe my eyes, this time not arguing and follow Austin.

"First, we need to get your iPod sorted," he says, walking into a Apple Store and passing all the iPods and starts looking at the phones,

"you can't buy me a iPhone!" I say tugging on his arm,

"Believe me, it's fine, I want you to be happy," he says,

"Buying me expensive things won't make me happy," I say looking up at him, "...but I wouldn't mind a new phone," I say chuckling,

"One iPhone 6 for the pretty lady," he says. I can't believe he just spent $700 on me.

We walk out of the Apple Store, my new phone dangling next to me in a bag, feeling like a princess I ask if we could get something to eat as my stomach grumbles wildly.

"Sure, you up for pizza?" Says Austin grabbing out his phone and calling the pizza shop, ordering 5 pizzas and getting them sent to his address,

"You must be hungry?" I say walking behind him, as my little legs can't keep up with his. I'm 15 and a short 5'3 emotional mess.

"Oh they're for the boys too," says Austin looking both ways before crossing the road and unlocking his car,

"The boys as in?" I say, feeling excited and shitting myself scared,

"Yep, Alan, Aaron, Phil and Tino," says Austin starting the car and smiling at me,
"Hot topic next?"

"Please never spend $700 on me again," I say "that's too much money."

Austin smiles, "it doesn't bother me."

"Is Alan really as fun and bubbly as he's made out to be?" I say, my mind turning straight to the band members I've been listening to for 3 years.

"He's crazier than you'd ever imagine," says Austin as we pull up outside hot topic, a store which I've never been to before.

"Shall we?" Says Austin, looking at me as if he's proud of what my mother has raised. I wouldn't be proud, I'm a bipolar mess. It saddens me, he doesn't realise what he's gotten himself into- mums death messed me up mentally, and physically.

"What's up?" He says crouching down and looking at me through the car door as I sit and think of how hard taking care of me is going to be on him.

"Oh nothing, just caught in my own thoughts," I say, trying not to ruin the good streak I'm having with Austin.

He looks worryingly at me as I get out of the car and we walk into hot topic *cough* heaven.
I'm surrounded by walls of band merch, and Austin wanders off and talks to the store owner, they must know each other.

"Just pick out whatever you want, I'll be here waiting," he says smiling at me and turning back to talk to the man.

So I wander around the store, feeling uncomfortable because I've never been put in the situation or given the chance to just pick out my own clothes and not worry about paying for them.

By the end of the shopping spree, I've gotten myself 2 of mice and men shirts to Austin's happiness, 1 falling in reverse, 1 green day, 1 bring me the horizon and 1 bullet for my valentine shirt.

"We better get a move on home, before the guys eat the pizza," says Austin, walking out of the shop and driving home. Which sounds funny to say, because when I think of home I think in my bed at mums place. Making myself sad, I decide to activate my new phones while on the drive to Austin's place.

I look up as we pull into Austin's drive way. His beautiful house surrounded by a garden with water features, and 4 other cars parked on his lawn.
And through the window, I see a redheaded man with a man bun, his mouth wide open and stuck to the window while he blows and his cheeks puff up, giving us a great view of the whole inside of his mouth.

Alan.
