Scream.

Chapter 5

After we finished breakfast, we stayed and talked for a little bit, before we decided it was time to go outside. He grabbed my arm,

"Let's go, it's this way back."

We walked as far as we could in the little cave until we were forced to crawl. Once we were crawling, Dylan finally had to let go of my arm. I didn't mind. Soon, we could see a little light coming from far away. I started crawling quicker, ready to be out in the open space again. I passed him, and mumbled,

"C'mon!!"

He chuckled, but sped up none the less. It wasn't too long before we were there. I jumped out and took a deep breathe. I spun around and laughed, happy to have space again. When I looked back at Dylan he was smiling at me. I coughed awkwardly,

"Where are we going now?"

He shrugged his shoulders, and looked at me,

"I guess we'll go wherever you want to go."

He looked at me expectantly, and I glanced quickly back to the area I had been before. The one full of Screamers. I was hoping he wouldn't notice this, but I had no such luck. He gave me an odd look.

"There?"

He asked curiously. I started to shake my head, but he knew better.

"What's up with that, Sky? What's it about that place?"

I glare at him.

"It's Skylar."

He gave me a sympathetic look, and said,

"C'mon, stop avoiding the subject.."

I rolled my eyes, getting frustrated.

"It's not even your business!"

I yelled. And with that, I pushed him down, and ran. Not even leaving myself time to feel bad for him. I ran without looking back. I found the old cave, knowing he wouldn't follow me in there.

I stopped five feet into the cave to catch my breathe. I pressed my back against the wall and decided to take a short break. I slumped down and sat against the cave wall.

As soon as I had caught my breathe, I started to stand up again. I stood up and started jogging again, before I ran into something and tripped. I gasped as I looked up to see a Screamer hovering over me.
