Chapter 26

Chapter 26 - Flawed

The two kingdoms marched through. Horses pounding on the floor with their hooves. Horns blowing at a certain beat. Swords clanging against one another. Adam's and Ross' army collided as one, for they were to face Jin.

Then, the alarm of Jin's kingdom rang, signalling that war was upon each other. It was time.

"To battle!" Everyone roared, raising their weapons as they went forward to the kingdom.

"Everyone, battle formation! Sub, Chris, Carlo, Tyler, Jorge! You're comin' with us to overthrow Jin and to take out the archers!" Adam exclaimed.

"I think Sub has that covered!" Tyler said, pointing to Sub who was off his horse and taking out the archers one by one. The Royal's and the Kids grinned, Sub dropping back down to his horse.

"Now, let's take back what's rightfully ours." Seto said.

"Agreed. We've waited for three damned years." Ian growled, taking out his newly sharpened sword from its scabbard, which was slung across his back. "Let's head out!"

Suddenly, more armed forces of Jin's had come in with horses, bows and arrows shooting from the sky.

"DUCK!" Chris exclaimed, but none had hit them with the help of Carlo and Seto, who worked together to make a barrier to block the arrows.

"Nice work you two!" Adam commented.

"No problem, when you got magic you can do nearly everything!"

As the forces with horses came in charging in, breaking through the magical barriers and going forward to the army. Tyler, Mitch, Adam and Jorge worked together as one and took out the upcoming soldiers, taking down their weapons and putting them off their horses, leaving them to be trampled over by the horses.

"The castle is dead ahead!" Jason reported from the skies.

"Thanks a bunch, Jason!" Ty said. Jason saluted, flying forward with his jetpack.

"Who knew kingdoms had jetpacks!?" Carlo laughed, using a light spell to knock guards down their horses. "But back to business. Jason said the castle is dead ahead, let's go!"

The Royals readied their weapons, Quentin falling a bit back to heal some of the guards.

"You guys will go on! I need to help everyone!" He exclaimed.

"Alright! Ross, let's go!" Jerome called out.

"I'm one step ahead of you, my young bacca." Ross said, riding his horse ahead of Jerome's. Mitch laughed, going ahead of him, with Jerome on his tail.

All of them had finally made it, and had jumped off their horses and ran inside Jin's castle, only to see him sitting on his throne and eating an apple.

"Ahahahaha... did you really think this plan would go well, Sky?" Jin snickered, spitting out an apple seed.

"The name is Adam, Jin. We have Ross' forces on our side! There is no way your forces can take over!" Adam exclaimed, pointing his dagger at Jin. Jin just chuckled, and slowly rose from his throne.

"Yes... yes... of course. But I have something that risks everyone."

He paced around, one foot after the other.

"You see... you young fools... you have something that can be given back to you if you surrender yourselves, you rebels."

"Wh-What are you talking about?!" Jorge exclaimed. Jin stopped pacing around, and held onto a curtain. His smile became devilish, and he pulled it down, only to find girls hostage, and unconscious. They gasped.

"L-Lasata!" Chris cried.

"Krisalee..." Jorge muttered.

"A-Ashley!?" Carlo exclaimed.

"Alesa!" Adam screamed.

"Jess..." Ross stammered.

"Ah... so it seems so. Your armies are failing. You're weak, seeing your fellow loved ones chained up, and soon to rot dead. So... what's it gonna be? Surrender, or see them die?"

"H-How did you get A-Ashley here...? She was in the city..." Sub said, loud enough for Jin to hear.

"You're not the only one who has technology on their side." Jin said, pulling out a computer chip of Sub's. He gasped, clenching his fists together.

"I... I can't see my love die..." Adam stuttered out. He dropped his weapon. Everyone else did, and raised their hands up in surrender.

"Your plan... was flawed. Guards, give them their old clothing back and take them to the cellar to rot! I'll take good care of the girls..."

"You... you monster..." Tyler growled, finally speaking as he was dragged away with the rest of the boys.
