Chapter Eight - Loveless

(Alot of you guys have been waiting for this character, so I just kinda say 'fuck it! I'm writin' him a chapter.)

Sub was 17 years old, living in a caged room dark and cold. He woke up on his cold bed, and yawned. He rolled to the side of his bed, and saw pixels flying in the air.

"Not again..." he muttered, as he dashed down the dark halls and went to his computer screens (you heard me, screen(s)) and put his hand in a compartment. A slight sound rang in the rooms, as the compartment opened and his hand was forming back.

Sub was halfly made out of pixels, but is also half human. With the work of a mad scientist, he was able to dissolve into small pixels to travel to places in the vicinity of the city. And although he was never able to leave without being noticed, he wished he could leave, but his 'father' (known as the mad scientist), would never let him. He felt as if with his new form, he wouldn't be able to love. Sub wanted tk prob

He decided to leave tonight.

He grabbed as many computer chips as possible and stuffed it in his big jacket. He then grabbed his bandage and wrapped them over his eyes. He has been told many times from his father that he couldn't be loved. Sub wanted to prove him wrong. He ran away, teleporting to the surface.

He had found himself in an alleyway, and heard talking among boys looking his age.

"So... what's in your guy's bag?" A voice asked. It sounded so young and curious.

"Oh... a spare jacket, and a dark blue spray can. My parents got it for me." One had replied. His voice to Sub was deep but proud, and with slight hesitation.

"Some packed sushi... and a green spray can. My friend Ashley wanted me to have it." The voice that sounded so young to Sub answered.

"Uh... some clothes and a light blue can of spraypaint. Dunno why my drunk father gave it to me..." A manly voice with a pitch of deepness sighed.

"An extra pair of glasses and red paint." A voice manly enough to have his voice echoing in the city had muttered loud enough for the four to hear. They had continued talking as Sub listened until it grew silent. He looked up, seeing the boys. Two of them were familiar of their appearance, but the other two was a mystery to him. As he heard the words of the boys, he gasped silently, now understanding that he was just like him. Another silence. Then, one that had the dark blue spray can stood up and started spraying the walls with a quote. Sub stared at it, and knew what to do. He grabbed a nearby light green spraycan and disolved into pixels, spraying words that had been a question.

Love Me?

As he roamed around like the others, he bumped into one who had a green hat.

"Hi there!"

"Carlo who are you talking t- Oh... Hi."

"Who are you...?"

"I-It's you..."

Sub stood there, his bandage over his eyes with worry and fear.

"H-Hey hey... I remember you... you were the guy that whispered in my ear... then disolved into pixels... right?"

"Cyan- I mean Jorge, you know this dude?"

"Not particularly... no. But I've seen him before... what's your name...?"

Sub didn't know how to speak as a normal conversation, but he knew words to keep something going, for a while.

"I-I'm... Sub... I r-remember you... from that one alleyway..." he responded.

"Sub? Well... I'm Jorge, that's Chris, Carlo, and Tyler." Jorge introduced Sub to the others.

"Hey, Sub? Mind if I asked how the hell you disolved into pixels and disappeared in plain sight?" Tyler asked sternly. Sub grew quiet, seeing the looks on the four boys faces.

"I-I'm... half computer... half human..."

...

"How did you do it?"

...

"Mad Scientist... named m-my father..."

...

"Age?"

...

"17."

...

"Hm... if you're a computer, do you know our history with each other?"

...

"Yes. You boys had met just now, talking among each other with expressions. You've told each other the problems that you've dealt with..."

...

"Dreams?"

...

"..."

"To be loved..."
