Chapter 20

Chapter 20 - A Quest to Commit

Carlo ran out of the castle and into the village, limping and falling in between. With heavy breaths he found the cottage and busted into the doors, seeing Chris and the others making small talk in the den.

"G-Guys!"

"Carlito!" Chris exclaimed. Carlo slammed the door and shut all the windows, panting and limping, the bandage slowly loosening up on his knee.

"Guys, Adam and his friends need our help. Seto asked me to come get you guys. Bring your swords also, just in case!"

"Who's Seto? And why the swords?" Tyler asked. "How the hell are we gonna hide them from the citizens!?"

"Easy!"

"Carlo this might stab me." Tyler said with sarcastic enthusiasm.

"This is gonna suuuck." Jorge complained.

"This doesn't hurt at all." Sub said.

"You're a computer boy!" Chris exclaimed quietly. "Carlo this is risky! Let alone very suspicious! Putting swords in our jackets?!"

"Trust me, it works."

The boys made it to the castle, no harm done as Prince Sky came in, the king next to him. He had black hair with brown, hazel eyes. His golden crown and his smirk showed his sanity. With purple clothes and a white cloak with purple lining as his clothing, he smiled.

"Ah, you must be the so called intruders to the mainlands. Prince Sky has told me all about you rascals. He told me he let you out on a loose end since you were kids, am I right?" He said.

"Y-Yes sir..." Carlo stuttered, clutching onto his chest. He looked at the others, glaring that he could handle it, the expressions on everyone else's faces nervous.

"Very well. I'm glad Prince Sky had given you a chance to stay here! We love all the citizens here in the kingdom. My name is King Jin, the king of this land. You must be..."

"Carlo. These are my friends, Chris, Jorge, Tyler and Sub." Carlo introduced.

"Ah... pleasure to meet you young ones. Prince Sky must have told you about our sword training, and you must be here for that. Well I must be going. Ta ta."

King Jin left to his quarters, not looking back at the boys. Prince Sky shooed the other guards away, following orders.

"Ta ta?" Jorge questioned.

Adam brought the five boys down to the training hall, where guards practice their fighting skills with weapons used for battle. The others were waiting, as they all shooed the other guards away and to guard somewhere for importance. Jorge and the others finally were able to let go of the swords from their jackets.

"The guards are gone, great. Time for introductions. Real names too, alright?"

"I'm, as you know, Prince Sky but I'm really Adam Dahlberg. I'm adopted by King Jin, and as the Prince it's apparently my 'job' to be the right-hand man and make everything in order. I want to leave because this place is none other than a curse."

"I'm the Rogue, Rogue Dead Lox. But my real name is Tyler 'Ty' Ellis. The Rogue does nothing but be a backup for the fighters... And that's why I want to leave. To fight for whats right."

"I'm the Royal Messenger, Jason Probst. That's my real name... but I'm sick of being a stupid servant to everyone all the time. I've teamed up with these guys to try to overthrow Jin to be free."

"I'm Archer Mitch. My other name is Bajan but I'd prefer Mitch Hughes if you wish. I'm just being used by the king because of my archer skills. I hate being used... and I want to leave. I want vengeance."

"Axeman Jerome. Jerome Aceti is my name, and I'm with Mitch. The rarity of my axe is very rare, and the king is using me because of it..."

"Medic Quentin Juneau. Nothing much but I keep being teased for being called a fish. I hate it. I want it all to stop. I want to leave to relax and not hear anymore voices."

"Swordsman Ssundee. But my real name is Ian Stapleton. I've also been teased but for a different reason. I've learned how to fight to stop it but it still lives with me..."

"Sorcerer Seto. My problem is to stopped being pushed back from others... I have a strange magic living inside of me... and sometimes it scared me... I want to be accepted."

"We know how you feel... now... what do we have to do to help you out?" Jorge asked.

"We want to overthrow Jin. Since he holds a lack of freedom, and cares more about himself and weaponry, we're gonna conquer the throne to make Adam the new king." Mitch said.

"But in order to do that, we need fighters." Ian said. "That's why we gave you swords. But... not everyone cam use the same weapons. So you guys can choose; Dagger, Duel Wielded Sword, any type of bow, a wand, or a shield or axe."

"I'll take a dagger!" Chris said enthusiastically.

"Wand!? As in a magic wand!? I'll take it!" Carlo exclaimed.

"Duel Wielding swords are double the damage. I'll take it." Jorge smirked.

"A crossbow sounds dope." Tyler said calmly.

"Looks like the axe and shield for me then." Sub sighed but with a smile. "But... I can provide a shield, is that alright?"

"How? An outsider providing a shield?" Adam asked.

"I'll show you in a second... but is there anything else we should know before we start...?"

"Yes, actually." Quentin said.

"This is very risky... it may cost you your life and lead to your final breath... you boys must be willing to do this and continue your adventures across the lands of Minecraftia. You all must commit to this..." Seto explained.

Then the words he had said was the final decision before war.

"Are you ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be!" Jorge exclaimed.

"Of course!" Chris said.

"Why wouldn't I be?!" Tyler smirked."

"My circuits are always ready." Sub assured.

"For the freedom of this kingdom, I'd do anything." Carlo said.
