Legolas
After speaking with Ada, I walked back to see if Tauriel was still there. I never told her, but I think I have developed feelings for her, but I am not certain.
"I never knew he liked me like that," I could hear her murmur.
I furrowed my eyebrows, and asked, "Who liked you like that?" I was a little concerned.
She looked up, and answered, "Lhindir. He asked me to be his partner..."
I wasn't really listening after she said "asked me to be his parter", because I could feel my heart drop to my stomach as I stiffened.
"And you said," I trailed off. I was becoming more curious and concerned at this.
"Yes."
I widened my eyes, and I could feel my heart starting to drop even more. I never felt this way before. She wasn't looking, so I shook my head, to get myself out of this.
I looked to my right to find an excuse.
"I have to go. I'll see you on morning patrol," I briefly said, then walked off to my chambers.
I didn't hear her follow or say anything, so I laid on my bed and thought about what just happened.
I stared at the rose. I know she didn't feel anything towards me, but I feel like I can't just give up from having feelings for her. I guess I do like her, but she doesn't sound or act like she does.
I then thought about Lhindir. He isn't a bad elf, even though we don't have contact with each other, but I prefer him to be with another Elleth. It's too late now, though.
I let out a loud sigh, got under the covers, and fell asleep.
{In his Dream}
I walked slowly to the ballroom. It was The Feast of the Starlight, and everyone was dressed fancy, even I of course.
I sat down and watched as everyone danced. I thought I would see Tauriel and Lhindir dancing, but I looked around to see her by herself frowning. She looked bored, so I thought I would help.
I snuck up on her, and tapped her shoulder. She looked at me surprised, but then grinned, now standing up.
"Why aren't you dancing with Lhindir?" I asked out of curiosity.
"He just wasn't for me," She sighed. "I like Ellons who are kind hearted, brave, and very close to me."
I thought about it, and had a feeling she was talking about me.
"Like who?" I asked, now smirking.
"Oh I don't know," she continued mysteriously.
"Well, while you think about it, I'm going to-" I said until she interrupted me with a kiss.
I was shocked at first, but quickly kissed back. We broke apart quickly, and I could feel myself blushing.
"Like you." She grinned.
I grinned too, and took her hand.
"Would you like to have this dance?" I bowed.
"Yes," she answered. "I would!"
{End of Dream}
I quickly shot up, to see what had happened. I just kissed Tauriel! But after blinking a couple times I came to realization and knew it was just a dream.
I frowned, and stared outside the window. It was still dark, so I went back to sleep, until I could hear the birds chirp loudly and the sun rising.
I groaned, still dreary from waking up early, then fell back to sleep, having to wake up later in a couple of hours.
Once I was up and less dreary, I got on my regular attire and armor, since I was going for morning patrol. I also grabbed my sword, daggers, and bow and arrows, then ran out the door to see Tauriel waiting.
"They'll be coming soon," she mentioned, not looking at me.
I nodded my head, and looked around, hoping she won't catch me staring at her at any point.
Awhile later, the others came, including Lhindir. He smiled at Tauriel, and she smiled back at him.
I started to get heated up, but I kept it cool, at least when they were near. But when shooting a spider, I let out my rage on them.
"Mellon, I can tell you're mad," I heard someone walk up to me. "Did something happen?" It was Tauriel, of course.
"No," I said, glaring at the dead spiders. "I'm perfectly fine."
After that, I left her, and killed more spiders. I thought about how Lhindir would adore Tauriel more, and she will start to adore him too.
Without him seeing, I shot a glare at him and continued on, until there were no more left.
I quickly went into the palace, hoping that Tauriel nor Lhindir will follow me. Was I wrong!
"Legolas!" I heard Tauriel shout. "I need to talk to you! Now!"
I stopped my feet, and waited for Tauriel to tell me whatever she wanted to tell. I heard her footsteps come closer, but I didn't budge.
"What do you want to tell me?" I asked, still having my back turned to her.
"I saw you glare at Lhindir," She said sternly. "Is something wrong?"
I turned around to see her arms crossed, and her foot tapping. She looked concerned, but I didn't answer.
"He really isn't that bad!" She started to shout. "All he did was ask me to be his p-" I couldn't bare hearing "partner", and I couldn't stop myself from doing it, so I did it.
I kissed her, kissed her on the lips. I could tell she was surprised, because she broke away fast.
I could see her cheeks blush and turn red. I can't believe I did that, I kept thinking.
"I-I have to go." She stammered, then ran off, probably to her chambers.
Why did I do that?! I now scolded myself. She's probably thinking I was being an idiot for doing that. She doesn't even have feelings for me! She probably likes Lhindir. I don't want to think about him, nor his name.
I started to walk to the weaponry room so I could train, and get my mind off of what just happened, but I heard someone calling my name.
"The King would like to speak to you, my Lord!" The Ellon reported.
"I will be there soon. Thank you," I murmured.
Once I got there, I could see Ada grinning. Something was going on.
"Why do you look so happy?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"Because, Legolas, you are being betrothed to Lady Malrin!"
