                                                                              Legolas

We sat down looking at the falls, while Tauriel stood in front of a tree. I wished I could be with her, but I obviously couldn't.

Lady Malrin and I talked for awhile, until she asked annoyed, "What's that?" now pointing to the tree.

The tree had our names engraved in it inside a heart, to represent our long lasting friendship, even though I secretly think it should represent a relationship.

I opened my mouth to say something, but Tauriel interrupted, "Nothing, my Lady. I do not see anything there." She sounded bored, but I don't blame her.

  Lady Malrin squinted, then gasped.

"When was this?" She was pointing to it again.

"I do not know what you're talking about, my Lady," Tauriel answered again.

I rolled my eyes, and walked over to her.

"Tauriel," I whispered. "You do not have to pretend you don't know what it is!" I was getting angry, but I tried not to show it all.

  "Yes, my Lord."

I furrowed my eyebrows, then turned around to tell Lady Malrin that we should leave. What is going on with Tauriel now? She never calls me "my Lord", because I hated her calling me that.

We finally got back to the kingdom, and I forced a smile at Lady Malrin, and kissed her hand, meaning goodnight. I also said goodnight to Ada, since he is my father.

I could see Tauriel walk away, but she wasn't getting away that fast.

I grabbed her wrist and looked at her coldly, even though her back was facing me.

"How may I serve you, my Lord?" She asked.

I rolled my eyes and let go of her wrist.

"Tauriel," I started to say. "Why do you act like we nothing about each other?"

She stayed silent, and my voice starter getting more stern.

"Look at me in the eye and answer the question," I sounded harsher than I expected, but also louder.

She finally turned around, but glared at me and replied, "I am not acting like anything, my Lord. I am simply doing my duty."

  That pushed my buttons.

"This is not the Tauriel I have seen a day ago. You never acted like this ever since we took you here to stay. You never called me 'my Lord' in forever!" I was shouting, but I didn't care now.

"If you are to shout at me, we should at least not be in the hall," She murmured, looking at the floor now.

"I do not care now if I shout, just answer the question!" I shouted again.

I think that got her, because she glared at me coldly, more than I've seen, and sneered, "Maybe because we don't know anything," and turned around, but turned back around to face me. In her hand was the necklace she said she would never take off.

"You should give this to a person you truly love. Because right now, it means nothing to us," She stomped off after that, as I stared at her in shock.

She would never take this off, but obviously, she did. I stared at the necklace now in my hand. I didn't know what to do with it, so kept it in my pocket, and left to my chambers. Why is she being so stubborn? Calling me titles, and acting like all of this happens regularly? I let out a big sigh, and stared in the mirror.

I looked dull, but I was also pretty tired. Maybe Tauriel wasn't meant to be with me. She obviously doesn't act like we should, so why bother?

Lady Malrin seems to enjoy me a lot more than her, so I think I'll give her another shot.

The next day, we had morning patrol, but Tauriel and I ignored each other the whole time. I could see Lhindir talking to her, but I didn't care anymore.

"Lady Malrin," I exclaimed, trying to find her.

"Legolas!" She grinned, and jumped into my arms.

I smiled too, a real smile.

"Would you like to come to the garden with me?" I asked, taking out my hand.

She gladly accepted, and we went off the the garden. I didn't see Tauriel anywhere near, meaning she won't do anything, not like she would.

We chatted for awhile, getting to know each other a lot more. She seems like a really kind person.

We then said goodbye, since it was getting late, and retired to our rooms. I thought about doing something important, but I thought I would leave it for later.

A couple days passed, and Lady Malrin and I grew a lot closer to each other, and I started to take a liking to her, thinking that Tauriel won't care, so I wouldn't either.

Then I thought about if I should do it. Just do it, Legolas. It's going to be fine, I told myself.

So I did, and she gladly said yes.
