Tauriel
"You still deserve it, Melleth nin." were his last words as he walked out of the room.
I looked over at the necklace, and then at the crowd. They were all staring at me blankly. I wasn't sure if they were sad, happy, or a mixture of them both.
I looked at Thranduil, as he came closer to me.
"You did the right thing," He murmured.
I slowly nodded my head, but stared at him blankly. I stared at the necklace again. I didn't deserve it! I rejected his proposal, something that would change both of our lives.
I looked up again, and replied, "No, I did not. It was not what my heart wanted."
After that, I ran out the door.
I ran in the hall to find wherever Legolas was. I shouted his name a couple of times, but no respond, nor him coming towards me. I then came to his door. It was slightly opened, so I walked in.
I saw him holding the rose I gave him. He was staring at it like it was some new discovery.
"Does this mean anything to you?" He asked softly, even though it felt like he slapped me across my face.
"Yes," I answered emotionless.
"What does it mean to you then? I have loved you for a long time, and you just act like it's nothing," He replied coldly.
I walked over to him, and sat down next to him, and held his free hand.
"Legolas, I..." I trailed off.
"You what? You think I'm an idiot for proposing to you? Because you're probably right. I was blind to see you never had feelings for me, but just as friends. I was stupid, and blind," He said coldly again, still staring at the rose.
"Legolas, look at me," I said sternly. It sounded much like a command.
He did as so, but his eyes looked cold and furious.
"Why did you even bother to come?" He asked coldly again.
"To do this," I whispered, and leaned in.
I leaned in and kissed him on the lips full of passion, just like at the wedding. I wrapped my hands around his neck, showing that I meant this kiss.
After breaking apart, I stared at him as he looked at me surprised.
"What was that fo-"
"Yes," I interrupted him.
"What?" He looked at me confused, as I began to grin.
"Yes. I accept your marriage proposal," I could see his frown gradually turn into a grin, as I quickly hugged him tightly.
After we broke apart, Legolas stared at me as I stared at him.
"Why did you not say yes before, then?"
"I thought I was doing the right thing, but I realized it was not what my heart wanted. I wanted to be with you, not have us go different paths. We go together, not separate."
He held my hands in his, as he said, "I do too, I do too. Melleth nin."
That was the end! I do have an epilogue, so I'll be sure to post that, but I'm not sure when, since I have to study for three tests this week (sigh). Comment down what you thought of the story, I am incredibly happy a lot of you liked it so much, I hope you liked how it ended happily, and stay tune for the epilogue! I am currently writing another Legriel story, but it's nowhere near done, but I do have this other one that is close to done. I'm just on writers block on it, so if I do share them, it would probably be awhile. Thank you for reading this, and be on the look out for a new story if I decide to publish another one! Xx
