I felt the crowd get more rambunctious around me, as they cheered more and more for an encore. Everybody was getting impatient, when finally, the lights flashed on for one last time, and out walked Josh Ramsay.

“Thank you, thank you!”, he said as the crowd roared louder then ever. “You know, you guys really are amazing for such a small town!”

He started to strum Good To you, as the crowd sang along with him. “Everyone’s around, no words are coming out, and I can’t find my breath. Can we just say the rest with no sound.

I know this isn’t enough. I still don’t measure up. I’m sorry I’m not prepared; sorry is never there when you need it.”

The crowd all sung along with him in the chorus and as the song passed by.

This was definitely the best night of my life - The night I finally saw my idol, Josh Ramsay play on stage, live.

Sure, I’ve been to a lot of other concerts, but Josh Ramsay was my idol. He showed me to believe in myself and that I could fight anything if I really tried to.

Finally, he strummed the last chord, as the crowd went wild. He thanked us one more time, before turning his back and taking his coke zero off of the stage. The stage went dark, and the fog was slowly getting thinner.

People started bustling out, getting shoved together while others were bickering about being pushed by the crowd, and about how the crowd was way too crazy. My best friend, Damian, and I just stood where we were, talking and laughing about the night.

“Man, Cara, did you see how Matt was right up there! All the girls went wild!” Damian said as he started to air guitar.

“Haha, yeah Day, I did.” I said with a giggle, watching him slide onto his knees, “And did you see how Josh was standing up on the bars! Like, OH-EM-GEE!” I said in my best girly-girl voice.

He just laughed at me.

The VIP section looked deserted, except for some stragglers who were left behind. A couple of girls behind us started talking loudly. They were getting on my nerves, big time.

“Oh my god, I can’t believe how sexy Josh looked!”

“Are you kidding me? Matt was so much better!”

“You guys don’t know what you’re talking about! Mike is sooo dreamy!”

I couldn’t help but laugh at them. They sounded delusional, like little kids. Famous people are just like us, except they play music and have their names known world wide. Big deal, right?

Apparently, not.

“Hey, Damian, do you know why the band doesn’t come out afterwards?”

“Umm.. I don’t know. Why, CC?”

Did he really need to call me CC when I was trying to be serious?

“Well, Day-Day, they don’t like creepy fan girls who know almost everything about them at all, you know? How would you feel if someone knew everything about you, and you had no clue who they were?”

Damian just smirked. “Well, actually, I‘d be impressed.” He responded winking at me with a sarcastic smirk on his face.

Someone cleared their voice behind me… Well, more then someone, I guess. It was the band we just watched moments ago. Marianas Trench, in the flesh.

“Well, they don’t creep me out. I actually prefer them.” Their lead singer, Josh said.

“Well, I know I would be sketched out, point blank. It’s just weird for someone to know your whole life story, when you have no idea who they are.”

The girls gasped as they slowly turned our way. Their mouths shaping into an ‘o’ as they laid their eyes on the band standing in front of us.

“Well, it’s something you have to get used to when you’re famous. People know things about you.”

“Yeah, I guess. That’s why I’m never going to be famous.” I smiled sweetly at him. “I’m Cara, but everybody calls me CC, and this is Damian, my best friend.”

“Josh - it’s nice to meet you. Behind me is Ian, Matt, and Mike.” He said pointing to the others behind him after kissing the back of my hand.

Is this a cheap way of trying to make me squeal like a fan girl? Hah! Seriously? That never works. “We know.”

As other fans came and gone, asking for autographs, for pictures and asking how their tour will be. We stood there watching them, waiting for everyone to clear.

“Hey, Damian, ever wonder why there’s more people here in the VIP section?”

Damian gave me a funny look, “Um… no? Why?”

“Cause they know Josh loves this attention from all the ladies… and he loves making people get smothered to death.”

Damian burst into laughter.

I smacked him across the head. “It’s not that funny, so stop it!”

“C-Car”, he wheezed through his laughter.

“Damian! Come on! It wasn’t funny! It hurt, A LOT! You‘re much stronger then me, and you know how to get them all to stop shoving you around!”

He finally calmed down, as the band was starting to give us looks that said ‘What the hell?’.

“Um, what are you talking about, er.. CC?” Ian asked.

“Oh, people were squishing me to death while trying to get to the front when your precious lead singer was standing on the railings.”

Well, that’s partially true. I mean, I was trying to get up there, too, but with so many people shoving against me…

“Sorry about that.” Josh smiled apologetically. I’m pretty sure he didn’t mean it though.

“Oh, um, it’s k, I guess. So, where are you guys going next?”

They all laughed at my awkward-ness.

“I’m guessing our hotel, cause Joshie here loves my abs!” Matt said in a flirtatious voice as Josh started hitting him.

“I do not!”

I laughed. Well, they’re a different bunch. Definitely the type of people who I get along with.

“CC, we should get home… You know, our phones are almost dead, your dad'sprobably worried sick, its late at night, we have to walk home..” Day-Day said while tapping his foot impatiently.

“Alright, Day-day, I guess we can leave.” I smiled my sweetest smile and turned around.

This was something else, alright. Meeting Marianas Trench - The Marianas Trench.

Stopping abruptly, I turned around. “Oh, and can I see your phone?”

They all gave me a strange look while Josh got out his phone and passed it to me. “Yeah… Here, I guess.”

I put my number in his phone and passed it back to him, “If you ever decide to make up for this bad experience, just let me know. That’s my cell number. Give it to the others when you go back to the hotel, please and thank you. Don‘t get distracted by Matts abs, though, Josh. He might try something on you.” I winked at him.

I turned back to Damian and gave him a look that said ‘Just keep walking’. I listened to Joshesprotests until we got out of range, and smile to myself. Well, at least I know how to tease the poor guy, if I ever meet him again.
