“This is not the man I hoped to be and I’m just trying to stop the bleeding. I don’t know how to word it, I just started to deserve it, and all my.. All my faces are alibis. And me, I’m half the man I wanted to be.”
Urgh!
I turned my head to look at my phone going off for the millionth time today.
Who in the right mind would text me this early? Everyone knows I sleep in until, like, twelve.
I looked over at the clock. It was nine in the morning. Nice… Well, I guess it’s time to look at who was messaging me. Damian….Damian….Aaron…Aaron…. I scrolled through the messages, one by one. Dearest boys, as much as I love you both, I can't reply because I’m sleeping. I was about to close my phone when a new message came it from Aaron. Hmm… what do we have here?
‘Omg Cara! I jst met Josh Ramsay! Come to the cat store nd c him w/ me, plz?’
Aaron… How much do I love you? Apparently, enough to get up just to see you.
‘Alright, on my way, c u soon’
After mustering up enough courage to get out from under my blankets, I brushed my hair and got changed. I wore a hot pink tank top that hung down to the bottom of my belly button, with a dark black skirt. I popped on some tights that had neon paint splatter across it and looked at myself one last time. I dabbed on some lip gloss, and put on some eye liner, then started to walk to the door. I left a note stating that I was going to be with Aaron for a little, and that if they needed me, then to text my phone.
Walking down the street, past a bench, I started to hum along to Masterpiece Theater 1, when suddenly, I got tackled to the ground. I was just about to scream at the person, when they interrupted me.
“Woah! CC, were you so into the song that you didn’t hear me calling you?!”
Ah. Aaron; I should have known.
“Haha, I guess so, Aaron. Sorry. So, what’s up?”
“Well…” He drifted off into thought.
“Well, what?”
“Well, I ran into the Josh Ramsay of Marianas Trench at Macs! Can you believe it?”
Oh yeah, he already told me. He also wanted me to meet him… Oh the joy. After that concert, I’d rather not.
Someone was hollering in the background, so I slowly turned around and looked in the direction it was coming from. Aaron had the cheesiest smile on his face. It looked like he was a proud father who just saw their child take their first steps, or something.
I finally caught sight of them. Oh, God. I honestly thought they would run off on him or something, or that he was just going to talk to me about it. Nope. They’re right there, waiting for him to return with me.
Josh, Matt, Mike, and Ian were all there, but Mike and Ian were watching Matt and Josh bicker. Is this normal for them?
“…Dude, I don’t like you!”
“Joshie, don’t resist me! You know you want me all to yourself!” Matt taunted him.
Urgh. They’re such kids.
Aaron and I let out a small bark of laughter and Josh sent quick death glares our way, screaming at Matt to shut up and to, quote, ‘accept that he’s not his type’.
I walked over with Aaron, and smiled sweetly, as I did just like last time I met them. They all stopped and stared at me before Aaron cleared his voice, catching all of their attention.
