For the next three days all Matthew and Sam did was argue. She would bring up how she felt that he had abandoned her, but instead of apologizing for it Matthew just got mad and told her bye. Sam didn't know what she was doing wrong. All she just wanted to do was talk to Matthew especially with him being in another state, but he just kept getting mad. She was trying to stay strong or even distracted herself, but she couldn't.
Everything that Sam did revolved around Matthew, and now that they were practically not talking she didn't know what to do. Sam just spent her time on her phone looking on her Instagram feed or on Pinterest. She couldn't handle Matthew getting mad at her at all, and it makes everything worse knowing that she was getting in the way. She tried texting his family, but it just made her feel worse. Sam did not know what to do and did not really think of what else she could do. She ended up just turning her phone off and just started to read books. Loads and loads of action, mystery, and supernatural books were on the floor around her bed. After about three hours of reading Sam's eyes were starting to hurt. "Too much reading" she said out loud as she closed the book she was reading. Sam slowly got off her bed and walked to her bathroom to splash cold water on her face. Once she was done with that she walked over to her couch were she had left her phone and turned her phone on. She went to the nearest outlet and plugged her phone in to charge while setting it on the table. Sam set it down after it vibrated saying it was charging, the went to her kitchen, then looked in her fridge to see what she could snack on, and then looked in her cupboards.
While Sam was looking for a snack she heard her phone vibrating, but Sam just thought it was all in her head. "That possibly couldn't be him......he's to busy with his family. He doesn't have time for me anymore" Sam told herself as she still looked for something to eat. The rest of the evening Sam just left her phone on the table charging. Until she knew she would have to unplug her phone sooner or later, and that time was now. Expecting a blank screen she saw that she had three texts and one missed called from Matthew. The texts read that he was sorry that he wasn't texting her that much and he wanted to make it up to her in any way. Sam just stood there looking at the texts and wondered if she should reply, but she just looked at the screen like she was looking into space. Sam slowly lowered the phone, locked it, and put it in her back pocket. She walked to her kitchen and continued to look for a snack. Once she found some crackers to nibble on she went and sat on the couch.
Sam didn't know if she was ready to start talking to Matthew again after all he did just get really mad at her, and they had been doing nothing but fighting. She just sat there and thought all the outcomes to herself. Sam thought of all the hurtful things Matthew had told her whether they were true or not, and if he had meant what he had said. With all of this fluttering through her mind she couldn't help but start to cry. "How did we become this?" she asked herself crying.
"If I hurt him I didn't mean it"
"I just was mad and upset" Sam said as she started to tuck herself into a ball.
Sam didn't know what to do everything seemed like it was going downhill and wasn't gonna get better. So Sam just sat on the couch tucked in like a ball asking herself what had they become. She didn't like how this happened, and she couldn't help but feel like this was all her fault. Sam just wanted Matthew to consider her feelings too. She wanted things to go back to the way they were before he had left. That they would be happy and smiling. That they would be together again without doubts. Sam just wanted everything along with Matthew back, and she wanted them now.
