[17] Puppy Love

When Sam got home she couldn't wait to text Leo all about it but something felt wrong. As she walked threw her apartment door she couldn't help but have this bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. "It's nothing" Sam told herself as she smiled. As Sam thought it out she began to think maybe it was something. So Sam sat on the couch and just stared at the turned off tv, it wasn't until Milo started whining that she stopped. "What's wrong cutie?" Sam asked Milo. As she said that she thought "well I must be going crazy or I'm really lonely because I am talking to a dog". Sam hadn't bought a leash or anything for Milo so she walked out to wear there was a grassy area, set him down, and let him do his business.

As Sam was walking back to her apartment she couldn't help but stop by Leo's and peek threw the window. She slowly walked up and tried to look inside but what she saw was what surprised her and made her go into shock. Sam stood there with her face flushed as she saw Leo and some other girl about her age on his couch making out. All she could do was back up slowly until she turned around and burst into her apartment. Tears started to form in the corners of her eyes but all she did was try not to pay attention to them. She locked her door then slowly walked to her bedroom, she put Milo in her lap and tried not to think or do anything. Her sorrow got the best of her and the next thing that she knew was that she was crying while Milo tried to stop the tears by licking her face. When she finally got tired of sitting all she did was lay back and put Milo under the covers with her.

When Sam woke up she saw that the clock read 3:30 am, so she rolled over and tried to fall back asleep. All she could think about was what she saw, so she tried to clear her mind. So she got up, made sure Milo was comfortable, walked to her dresser, and looked till she found a little box. She walked outside to her porch, sat down, pulled out a cigarette from the box, and lit it.

Sam didn't like smoking but when things got really bad she resorted to smoking them, she couldn't help it everything seemed to befalling apart. As Sam looked around she noticed Leo's apartment light was on so all she did was look away. She couldn't help but think about the other girl and get jealous. "Stupid whore" she thought to herself. As Sam was finishing up her cigarette she heard the doorknob turn almost as if it was about to open, so Sam threw the cigarette butt on the ground, stomped it, and went into her apartment. Once her door was shut she looked through her pep hole to see if anyone came out. Right as she was about to walk away she saw the same girl that was with Leo earlier but this time she was wearing different clothes and her hair was up, all Sam could do was huff and walk away. She went back to her bedroom and tried to sleep again only this time she couldn't. So she thought about counting sheep and she tried it but sadly it didn't work.

As a result Sam ended up googling ways to fall asleep but the only things that came up were about hitting her head really hard, hard enough to knock her out and sleeping pills/syrup. Sam really didn't want to put much effort in it so she walked to her bathroom cabinet. When she got there she opened it up but couldn't find any sleeping medication so she pulled out her phone and clicked on Leo's phone number. "Fuck it" she said out loud as she texted him "Hey you wouldn't happen to have any sleeping pills or syrup in your apartment right?" Sam went and sat on her bed as she waited for a reply but the next thing she knew was her phone buzzing. It was Leo and he said "I actually have some why?" ,after Sam read the text she put on some slippers and walked over to Leo's apartment.

She hesitated then knocked but it seemed like five minuets until Leo finally opened up the door. "Hey, what did you need the syrup for?" Leo asked with the bottle in his hand. "I can't sleep it's no big deal" Sam said as she reached for the bottle. It seemed like right as Sam had the bottle I her finger tips Leo jerked it away. "Are you sure that's the only reason why, because you smell like nicotine" Leo said concerned. "Yeah I'm sure, thanks" Sam said as she grabbed the bottle out of Leo's grip. Leo just stood there in silence as he looked at Sam. All Sam did was turn around and walk back to her apartment, when she got to her bedroom after locking her front door she took the cap off the bottle and said "Here's to puppy love, Milo I love your kisses, I can tell you love me, and Leo fuck you. You never really wanted me you jerk, I hope karma bites you I the ass. Hard." Then Sam chugged half the bottle before setting it down and laying in bed. Right as her body relaxed she fell into a deep sleep, which in Sam's case she really needed.
