[20] Fresh Start

When Sam woke up to her alarm on her phone she noticed was on her couch in her apartment with Milo at her feet. She slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes to see her phone clock read 8:05 am. Sam couldn't shake the feeling of today being a new day and couldn't help but feel like something was different. So Sam got up and made her way to the kitchen then looked in the doorway to her bedroom to see Emily passed out on her bed but all Sam did was chuckle at the sight. She guessed that after getting a little tipsy at the club and on the cab ride home the arrangement of who was sleeping where was made. As quietly as she could Sam went in her room grabbed some fresh clothes, along with socks, shoes, and went into the bathroom to take a shower. She wanted to wash off all the stresses from yesterday along with all the weird smells on her body from the club. Once she was done getting changed and doing her make up she left the apartment, and left Emily there for the day. Yesterday she had told Emily how she had classes today and that she would leave but come back as soon as she was finished getting her work.

On her way to the lecture hall Sam had seen someone new it was a guy, and he was getting registered along with shown around. She couldn't help but partly stare because she found him attractive, but she needed to focus and go to class so she walked on. Sam couldn't seem to focus when she was in class today, but she didn't know what it was that made her feel so excited. In the middle of the lecture the new guy walked in Sam didn't know what it was but as soon as they made eye contact she felt her cheeks get hot, and couldn't help but look down. As she looked around she noticed that some seats above her where open and she guessed he noticed that too, because he started making his way to the same seats she was just looking at. Sam just went back to making notes in her spiral, but this time she couldn't help but feel like someone was watching her. She slowly tried to turn around without making it to obvious that she was looking around, but when she looked at where the guy was sitting she just saw him looking at hes notebook but before she could look away he looked up and saw her gazing at him. All Sam could do was smile and partly wave at him while her cheeks got hot, as she awkwardly turned back around to continue her notes she couldn't help but think how cute he looked.
After the lecture ended she debated on whether to talk to him or not but right as her chance was up it suddenly went away as he walked out the door without her even making a pep at him. All Sam did was sigh and go to her next lecture, but it seemed to drag on forever before she was able to go back to her apartment. So she drove home and walked in to see Emily playing with Milo. She decided they could go to the park for a bit so they did, and ended up spending two hours there. Once they were done at the park they went back to Sam's apartment where Emily got her stuff ready to leave. Sam decided to order pizza for them to eat so they wouldn't have to go anywhere and could still stay at the apartment. The rest of the evening Emily and Sam hung out watching movies and occasionally playing with Milo until Emily left. After Emily left Sam just went to bed since she had nothing else to do, but she couldn't wait for the next day she she could get the courage to talk to the new guy.
