[4] Her Neighbor

When Sam woke up from her nap she felt like she had slept the day away but when she looked at the time on her phone it just said 11:50 am. After she set her phone back down she noticed something was missing but she wasn't sure what it was until she saw the other side of the bed was empty "Grayson" she softly said. She got up and slowly walked into the kitchen to find a note laying on the counter top that said

"Dear Sammy,
I'm sorry that I had to leave but my parents wanted me back home for today. My aunt and her two kids have come to visit, so with me staying here my parents said her kids could use my room so they wanted me back home to take the stuff I wanted to be left alone, while helping set up everything. I'll be back later tonight so I can spend some time with my aunt, I shouldn't be to late though.
Remember to stay out of trouble,
Love Grayson"

After reading that Sam went back to her room to grab her phone. She quickly sent a text to Grayson telling him that she would stay out of trouble and just woke up. She expected a quick reply but then realized that she wasn't gonna get one so she went back to her room to get dressed. While she was picking out a shirt to wear she heard a knock on her front door, so she quickly put on some leggings to go with a semi long t-shirt she slipped on and answered the door. "Can I help you?" she asked as she opened up the door.

When the door was fully open she saw a tall, blonde long shaggy haired guy with a scruffy goatee and lanky kinda tattoos. "Hi, I'm Leo" the guy said holding his hand out for Sam to shake it. "Hello, haha I'm Samantha but people call me Sam or Sammy" she said as she shook Leo's hand. "I live in the apartment across from you" Leo said as he pointed to his apartment door. "Do you wanna come in? I was about to make some Mac 'n cheese to eat if you want some?" Sam asked opening the door so he could come in. "Sure I'd love to" Leo said as he smiled at her and walked in.

As she made the Mac 'n cheese she tried to make conversation with Leo. "So what do you do? Like for a living do you go to college or what?" Sam asked. " I work at the gas station down the street" Leo answered. With the way Leo was Sam guessed that he was kinda a bum but she didn't want to make that a big deal because it wasn't to her, as long as what he did made him happy that's all that mattered.

After they finished their lunch they figured out that they have a lot in common. "So anything I should know about you?" Sam asked partly drooling over Leo. She couldn't help it she was attracted to him but she just hoped he didn't notice because she didn't know if he was attracted to her too. "Well I'm the lead singer/guitarist for a failed band and I'm also a pot head too" Leo said chuckling. "I'm sure your band wasn't that bad and cool me too" Sam said. "Hey, I had an idea why don't we go swimming at the pool?" Leo asked Sam with joy in his eyes. "Sure, hahaha let me just get my bathing suit on" Sam said as she got up to change. When she walked into the kitchen after she got changed into her bikini she saw Leo who looked surprised. "What?" she asked with blushed cheeks. "Oh nothing" Leo said smirking.

"Well we better go" Sam said as she opened her front door. After Leo walked out and Sam locked her front door, she put her arm threw his and they went to the pool.

Once Sam saw the pool she unlocked her arm from Leo's and jumped into the pool. Leo laughed as he watched Sam come up to breath from jumping in. "Help me up" Sam said as she held out her hand. Leo chuckled as he went to help her up but she just pulled him in with her. When he came up for air they both couldn't help but laugh. They swam until it was dark so by then they both just went to their apartments. "I'll see you tomorrow?" Sam asked Leo.

"For sure" Leo said as he smiled at her. "Nighty night" she told him as she shut her door.

After Sam ate and took a shower she laid in bed for a little bit. When she heard someone come in, she jumped but it was just Grayson. "Did you lock the door?" Sam asked concerned. "Yes, I made sure" Grayson said as he smiled at her. "How was your aunt?" "She was good" "That's good" Sam said as she tried to make small talk. "Well I'm gonna go to bed" Sam said she rolled over. "Ok, night" Grayson said as he took his shirt and shoes off. As Sam was starting to fall asleep she felt an arm across her stomach. It was Grayson as much as she didn't mind it, to her it felt a little weird but she didn't stop him or take it off. After a while Sam couldn't help but fall asleep, especially knowing that it was a good day.
