One Big Mistake(on hold)

The day went by pretty fast considering I kept thinking about this morning over and over again. Dwayne did some things to me he's never done before and i don't regret it. Thankfully my mom picked up the kids and took them to spend the day with her. I really need my car back. In my last period of the day I wasn't paying attention at all to what the teacher was saying I was thinking of what I should do after school. I told Natalie to meet me at Dwayne's house but she said not to wait up so I'm guessing she's not gonna be there early. I'm gonna text Anisa to drive me to my moms house to see the kids and then go straight home to wait on Natalie. I take my phone out from my back pocket and put my phone on top of my books as I pretend to read. From where the teacher is sitting it looks like I'm actually reading. 

Hey Anisa can you drive to my mom's house to see the kids and then take me home?- Ella 

The moment I said the message I get an incoming message from Dwayne. 

Baaabe I'm so bored. Wanna meet me at the staircase ;) - Dwayne

I put my phone down and look on the teacher's desk to see if the pass was still there luckily it was. 

"Ok I'm on my way :) -Ella 

I get up from my desk and slowly walk up to my teachers desk. 

"May I please use the restroom?" I smile at him 

"Why? I saw you on your phone young lady. You think just because you have the personal issues of an adult you have an advantage to do whatever you want?" He says while raising his voice and the students near us turn around. 

"No that's not at all what I think,"

"Yes you do Daniella. I honestly thought you were a good student at the beginning of the year but you go around worrying about two boys back and forth and brought two unfortunate children into the world. How are you going to care for them when you can't even care for yourself I mean look at you!" He practically screams and my eyes start to water. "Take the pass and go I can't even look at you" I take the pass and race out of the room crying. I expected my classmates to say that but my own teacher... that really hurt. 

I finally get to the staircase and when Dwayne sees me he gets upset and then angry.
"Ella what's wrong?" 

"Nothing... it's okay Dwayne I'm okay." I say while hugging him for comfort

"No your not tell me who did this and I'll handle it," He puts his hand on my back and gives me a warm embrace. 

"Seriously it's fine. I should get used to all the haters out there who are against me"

"I just hate seeing you hurt babe.. I care about you so much I don't like to see you like that." Dwayne whispers while kissing my forehead. "This might be childish but I brought you some sour patch kids since I know you love them" I laugh and accept the candy as I open them to share them with him. We sit down on the picnic table and eat the candy together. We have a funny conversation about Sergio and Sapphire that makes me feel a lot better. 

"Thanks babe. I'm gonna go back to class now," I tell him while getting up from the table

"When are you coming home?" 

"Anisa is going to take me to see the kids and then I'm going to go straight home because I promised to tutor Natalie on some school subjects" 

"Well what's this miracle? My girlfriend hanging out with my sisters friend?" He smirks while taking my hand.

"Oh so now we're a couple?" I smile while looking down

"We always have been Ella. See you at home" He kisses my forehead and releases my hand to go back to class. I watch him walk away and sigh a breath of relief.
