Chpt. 16 (Fenix and Lucky)

*Two Days Later* ((Yes again))

Lucky was ecstatic. Fenix was coming over to spend time with him, and that was awesome! He was in the game room, looking at games to play. Lucky didn't know if Fenix liked video games, but that's why they were doing this, so they could bond! Lucky decided on a couple of fighting games to show Fenix. Suddenly, the door opened behind him and he turned around to see Maggie showing Fenix where he was, and he smiled. "Lucky's in here. I have to go help Onix repair the ventilation, it's been out of whack since the attack. Have fun!", she said, and closed the door behind Fenix.

"What's up kiddo? You ready to have some fun?", Fenix asked, and Lucky nodded. "Yeah! I have some fighting games I want to show you!", Lucky said, and Fenix sat down on the couch next to him. "I've never been that good at video games, but I didn't know there was fighting games.", Fenix said, picking up a controller. Lucky scoffed, "There's a video game for everything.", he said, and Fenix raised an eyebrow. "So you're telling me that if I wanted to play a game about making cake, there's a game for that?", he asked, and Lucky nodded. "Yep, Baking Simulator. It's not very good, but there's plenty more games about it, like Baking Aunt.", Lucky said, and Fenix looked impressed. "So if I wanted to play a game about dating girls, there's one for that too?", the tiger asked, and Lucky nodded again. "Yep, but usually those are inappropriate for kids, as they lead to... the next level.", Lucky said, and Fenix chuckled. "Okay, last ones. If I wanted to play a game about playing a game, or if I wanted to play a game about fighting as frogs to save a princess, there is games for both of those?", Fenix asked, and Lucky handed him both Inception Simulator and Fighter Frogs. Fenix chuckled. "Okay, that's cool.", he said, putting the games down as Lucky started up a fighter game. 

"So what do we do?", Fenix asked, and Lucky responded by pressing a button on his controller, and his character punched Fenix's character in the stomach, taking an eighth of his health off. "Hey!", Fenix said, and Lucky laughed. "You fight the other character by pressing a combination of buttons to make certain moves and lower the other players health. When someone's health reaches 0, the other one wins.", Lucky explained, and Fenix nodded. "Okay, I got it.", he said, and ran at Lucky's character, and then pressed a bunch of buttons randomly, resulting in his character blocking and dodging, and occasionally attacking, but Fenix would make his character dodge beforehand, so no attacks hit Lucky whatsoever. Lucky was too busy laughing to do anything, and then by chance Fenix managed to use a special attack, taking a quarter of Lucky's health off. Lucky stopped laughing, and was shocked, and Fenix was trying to figure out how to do the special attack again. "Oh it's on now.", Lucky said, and began to punch Fenix's character, and Fenix managed to fight back, but kept accidentally hitting the block button instead. "Why is this so hard?!", Fenix said in a panic, trying to attack Lucky, but ended up dying. Lucky laughed as Fenix grumbled. "Now are you going to wait for me to explain the controls?", Lucky asked, and Fenix smiled and nodded. 

After Lucky explained the controls, they started a new round. Fenix was doing better, but Lucky's experience still gave the young tabby an advantage, and he won anyway. "You are way too good at this.", Fenix said, laughing. "Hey, you're getting better, my health was actually pretty low!", Lucky said, and Fenix chuckled, "That's only because you were going easy on me.", he said, and Lucky shook his head. "Nah, you can ask mom, I don't go easy on anyone.", he said, but paused for a moment. "Except Quill. He's just so cute and happy when he wins, sometimes I barely even fight at all just to see him happy and hear him giggle.", Lucky admitted, and Fenix chuckled. "Fair enough. I'll take your word for it, you seem like an honest kid.", he said, and Lucky smiled. "Speaking of Quill, where was he during the fight? I didn't see him, and I was worried he might have been hurt.", Fenix asked, and Lucky chuckled. "Don't worry too much about Quill, he's a tough guy when he wants to be.", Lucky said, and Fenix laughed. "I couldn't imagine Quill hurting a fly.", he said, and Lucky burst into laughter. "No one's told you about how he saved himself from being murdered, huh?", he asked, and Fenix's eyes widened. "No actually. Tell me, I have to hear this.", he said.
