Chpt. 45 (Back to Life)

Fun Fact: Fenix's desire to teach Felicity and Phoenix how to swear is based on my dad, who taught me how to call someone a dumbass in sign language when I entered middle school. Yeah, Aleene calling Fenix a dumbass after fighting him? That actually happened in real life. Just replace Aleene with me and Fenix with an asshole I never bothered to learn the name of.

*Next Day*

Lucky sheathed and unsheathed his claws. It's how he calmed himself down. His mother had gotten angry that he and his father were beat up, but not as mad as when she found out they went out without telling anyone. She was scared that the hybrid could have killed them. Lucky and his father had apologized, but then they left with Aleene, Goldy, and the rest of the 'adults'. Leaving Alice, Howl, Belle, Quill, Lucky and the young ones.

They had to go find a new building for Alice's friends, as this one was infected with mold, and Aleene wouldn't have anyone else getting sick. So they were out, and Lucky was in charge as he was the alpha now, and he needed to prove he could handle being in charge. Lucky was confident, nothing he couldn't handle at this point. Quill walked up to him with a bright pink face, and Lucky chuckled. Quill and Carrie had most likely playing video games again, and whenever Quill won... well, Carrie gave him a reward.

"Kissed on the cheek again?", Lucky teased, and Quill shook his head. "On the nose.", Quill explained, and Lucky laughed. "She's a real sweetheart, isn't she?", Lucky asked, and Quill nodded. There was a knock at the door, and Quill snapped out of his trance as he walked towards the front door. "I got it.", Quill said, and he opened the door.

"Hello, how may I help yo-", Quill was cut off by the cloaked figure flinching away from him in fear. "NO! GET AWAY FROM ME! I WON'T GO BACK, I WON'T!", the figure yelled, until a shorter cloaked figure hugged the first and began to soothe him. "It's okay... it's okay...", while she did that, two other cloaked figures stepped forward. "Hello, may we come in?", one asked, and Lucky walked up and stared at the figure, trying to get a read on them. "Depends.", the tabby said, "Who are you? Why are you here?", the tabby asked. 

The figure took of his hood, revealing him to be a green peacock. "The name is Charlie, I'm here with Alpha, Blue and my wife Delta. We are good friends of the Alidine family, and it's been a couple decades since we've seen them, as we had to leave. So may we come in and see them? I know Blue would like to see Aleene again, he knew her for years, Maggie too.", Charlie explained, and Lucky stepped aside, clearing the way. "Well feel free to come in. Wipe your feet, the manager just had the floors cleaned.", Lucky said as he walked over to a table. Charlie stepped in and wiped his feet, then letting another cloaked in, and they also took off their cloak, revealing a brown peahen, most likely Delta.

The two other cloaked walked in, and also took of their hoods, revealing...HUH!?

"Aunt Alena?", Quill asked, and the white cat with green eyes raised an eyebrow. "I'm not your aunt, I have no idea who you are. Besides, my name is Alpha.", the cat hissed, and Quill scratched the back of his head. "Sorry ma'am, you just look like my aunt.", the croc apologized. Now that Quill thought about it, it wouldn't make sense for his aunt to be here with these strangers, especially since she didn't recognize him when comforting the other cat, who Quill assumed was Blue, as he was blue.

"Sorry for scaring you by the way, I'm not as adorable as I was nine years ago.", Quill pointed out, and he was right. His teeth had become unorganized, now in various sizes and much sharper than the small, milky teeth he had before. He wasn't really the kids' favorite anymore, that title went to Carrie now. But the adults that had been the kids that had liked him were still big fans. The blue cat chuckled and scratched the back of his head. "It's alright. I just haven't had very good experiences with lizards and reptiles. I guess seeing a crocodile here was the last thing I expected, but maybe I should open my eyes, as it has been a long time.", Blue explained.
