"What happened?"
He wiped away the tears but you could tell he cried. His nose was pink and his eyes were puffy. He was worried about me.
"Nothing. I just tripped."I didn't want to tell them about what I saw. If what I saw was true, I'm not supposed to be here. I'm supposed to be with a "Group B" apparently. I touched my head and felt a small bump forming. It hurt like hell. I got up but Minho pushed me back down by my shoulders.
"Slim it Y/n. You need to rest," he said.
Alby nodded and Newt went out with an empty wooden bowl. Alby laid his hand on my forehead and sighed. The other kid who I assumed was the doctor here did the same when Alby lifted his hand.
"She's burning up. We need to get her some water," he told Alby.
"Newt has that covered. I told him to get some already," Minho said.
Just then Newt walked in with a cloth and the wooden bowl now full of water. He dipped the cloth in the bowl and put it on my head. His eyes were dry and his nose less pink as if nothing happened. The cold cloth felt wonderful on my head. But I still can't get the image of the girl out of my head. She seemed to pity us in a way. Like she didn't want to take us. The girls seemed like they were dependent on me at that moment. Like I was supposed to help them escape that room. The room all white. The outside world scorched. Scorch. My head burned at that word. Something came back to me.
An earlier image. I was around twelve or thirteen. Another white room full of girls, the same ones but younger. I was talking to a girl with strawberry colored haired, seemingly died that color. We were looking out the window. She was gripping a knife she smuggled in. We planned on rebelling against the people who put us here. Who took us away from homes and families. They were testing us. The girl smiled at me as she twirled her knife.
"I promise I'll get us out. I'll get you your family. Then we can go back home. Safe, sound, and sane..."
The last word worried me. The sun was setting now and the air cooled. She started hitting the bar with the knife.
"Flare won't kill me. Flare won't kill you. Flare won't kill any of us. Once we get out we can hide underground. I'm not letting them experiment on me anymore," she said.
She looked at me and her eyes seemed lifeless and dark. You could tell she was driving herself mad thinking of ways to escape wherever we were.
"If the Flare gets to me I want you to kill me. Promise you will."
I nodded and we shook hands. We shared a slight smile but it didn't last long.

I sighed. The boys were looking at me strange. Deep down, they know I'm not supposed to be here. If I ever told them about my memories they'd have no doubt I'm not supposed to be here. I sat up and asked for food. Lucky for me I'd woke up just in time for dinner.
Minho and Newt forced me to stay in bed. Newt brought in two plates and put one on the bed. He sat on the floor and ate his. Minho came in and sat next to him. The food was just some cooked ham and left over eggs from lunch. We ate in silence until I tried to leave again. I was once again forced to stay in the bed by Minho and Newt. When they left, I kept hearing noises. Somewhat slightly human noises. I looked around to see if anyone was there. I got up and walked outside. Boys were on hammocks and littered on the ground. As I got closer to the walls the moans got louder.
What the hell is happening in there?
I remembered Minho saying no one could get out or in when the doors close.
Then I heard two voices, a boys and a girls. They sounded angry yet familiar.Y/n you're going to regret living when we get you.
