~•Newt's POV•~

I walked over to the Homestead, going over what to tell Alby in my head. My stomach tied in a knot and my shoulders were tense. (Y/n) was innocent and they needed to know. (Y/n) needed to know how much I cared for her.

I walked inside and grabbed Alby's arm, leading him away from the others. His strong strong arm pulled back and he turned me around.

"What do you want Newt? I'm busy." He said, gesturing to Gally and Minho.

"It's about (Y/n). She's innocent. I swear Alby you gotta trust me." I scrambled on my words, flustered over what to exactly say.

"Really? Look, as much as I like (Y/n), I need some sort of proof. And I know how much you love the damn girl, but you can't let that get in the way of your judgement." Alby said firmly.

"Listen here you bloody shank, I heard Gray admit to pushing her into that bloody Maze. And think about it. Isn't it a coincidence, no one at all, had seen Gray before she disappeared?" I shot back, making my voice firm.

Alby sighed, conflicted on whether or not to trust me. He rubbed his face with his hands let out a long sigh.

"Newt, it's getting late. Grab your dinner and eat. We'll sleep on your thought, okay? I'll figure things out. Grab dinner for Gray and (Y/n) too." He said as he turned away from me, rejoining Minho and Gally.

I walked to the kitchen and grabbed the servings I needed. I slowly snuck over to the pit, making sure no one was around. I kneeled down to see Gray, fast asleep. I smiled devilishly at (Y/n).

"I'm busting you out." I whispered as I unlatched the lock.

Excitement sparkled in her (e/c) eyes, complimenting the rest of her beautiful complexion. I can't believe I'm defying Alby for a girl I just bloody met around a month ago, but if it was worth her smiling at me again, even just once, it sure as hell would be worth it.

~•Your POV•~

Newt came over and kneeled down in front of the pit and flashed me a handsome smile.

"I'm busting you out." He whispered softly as he unlatched the lock, making sure not to cause too much noise.

I stared into his eyes, full of pure joy. He had come back. He trusted me. He knew I was innocent and wanted to help. He did care for me.

When he took the latch off, he reached in for my hand. Flashbacks of him pulling me out of the box flooded into my mind. I instantly grabbed his hand and he helped lift me up, just a little, so I could get out. He slowly closed the door, making sure to lock Gray in as tight as possible.

As soon as we stood up, our noses were touching. My face heated up and I tried to back away. Before I could, Newt wrapped his arms around waist and pulled me back in for a kiss. I slowly closed my eyes, melting into his warm embrace.

"(Y/n), please don't be mad at me. I knew you were innocent." Newt said as he pulled away, but made sure to keep a grip on my hands.

"I'm not mad. But why did you break me out? We can't go anywhere."

"We're going to Alby. I'm going to prove your innocent."

(Btw there will be a sequel to this lolol)
