Newt and I began to run to the Homestead. We were sure Alby would believe us.
"Are you sure he's okay with you just letting me out? I mean, rules are rules Newt. I don't need you getting your butt shoved into the pit too." I said.
He just smiled. "Look, rules are rules. But not all of them are fair. And some rules need to be broken."
We went into the Homestead and ran up to Alby. He looked at us sternly and began yelling.
"Newt, what the hell are you thinking?! Did you seriously disobey the rules of this Glade just to prove a damn point?!" Alby yelled, his face reddening with anger.
"Alby, listen she's innocent! C'mon. Why won't you listen to me?" Newt pleaded.
"And (Y/n)! If you are innocent, you aren't helping yourself by breaking rules."
"I just-" I mumbled.
"Just go back into the pit. I said we'd reach a verdict tomorrow. Leave. Newt, you stay here. I need to talk with you. Gally, lock (Y/n) back up please." Alby said.
Gally nodded and grabbed my arm roughly and began to walk back with a torch in his other hand. He pushed me back into the pit and began fumbling with the lock.
"You're an idiot (Y/n). You've made things worse for both you and Newt. Good job. Don't try anything else."
He walked away and I was left laying in the pit with sleeping Gray. The rest of the night, sleep never came.
