(Partial credit/inspiration for this chapter goes to @00TheStoryteller00 Thanks for talking to me boo you seem rly cool. Wish I talked to you more lol)
I woke up when the sun blared down on my through the cracks of the pit. I looked over to see Gray, tracing things in the dirt. They seemed like little scribbles and lines.
"(Y/n), Alby said he's letting us out today after I talk to him. He'll decide what happens then." Gray muttered.
"I know. I hope he banishes you to the Maze. You deserve it you slimy rat." I said, looking right into his eyes.
"Someone's angry. When we get out, I'd like you to meet me by the box. I want to talk with you there." He said.
I sighed. I saw no harm in it. Just then, it started to rain. A fog hazed over the air. Gray sighed.
"Of course. Rain." He mumbled as someone walked over.
It was Cole. He was already wet from the rain. "Come on Gray. Alby is ready to end this trial. Let's go."
He stood up and smirked at my before he left. The little devil. He had a thing for lying.
~•Gray's POV•~
I sat in front of all of the Keepers. Minho looked bored as hell. Newt stared daggers at me, obviously on (Y/n)'s side. He hated me for the fact I was even testifying against her.
Jeez, he sure loves her. Wonder how everything will play out during phase two...
Alby stood up straight and looked around the room. He made sure everyone was there before he began talking.
"This time, it's Gray's turn to explain his side of the story. (Y/n) is currently..."
"In time out." Minho muttered to himself.
Alby shot him a look before he continued.
"Not exactly. She's been restricted from being here because of recent actions. And because she influences some of the boys here." He looked at Newt with a cold stare.
Newt pouted and looked to the side, swallowed up in pride.
"Now, Gray. What exactly happened?" Ably asked as he sat down in his chair.
I stayed quiet for a minute, repeating a phrase that was glued into my mind. Decisions are important. It was a phrase my mom used to say to my sister and I. It was the only thing she said to us before WICKED took us.
I breathed slowly, and began speaking. "(Y/n) went into the Maze willingly. I swear, I saw her from the woods. I tried to talk her out of it when I ran over to her, but she wouldn't listen. I would never purposely harm or threaten to harm another Glader. Alby said it was against the rules."
Alby nodded the whole time, never breaking his stone cold stare never breaking. He examined my face and my posture, trying to find something off.
"I still think he's lying." Newt said next to Alby.
"I'm a bit leany towards (Y/n) too. I remember the first day he came up the box, she said to me, "I swear, something is wrong with him." She was suspicious he might do something from the start." Minho said.
Gally sighed loudly and stood up.
"Honestly, I believe the kid more than (Y/n)."
"Oh shut it Gally. You just don't like (Y/n) cause she kicked your bloody arse into the ground." Newt shot back.
"One more word from you Newt and I'll kick your arse too." Alby's strong voice quieted the room.
"Listen, I don't think (Y/n) would be so stupid, she went into the Maze and cut herself up just to frame this kid. Something obviously happened." One of the Medjacks said.
"Just take them both out of the pit. Frypan, have (Y/n) work double time. I don't care if anyone's hungry or not, make her do something. And Gray, just try not to get into trouble." Alby said.
A small sigh of relief came from my lips. All I have to do was complete what I was sent here to do. Now, to go find (Y/n).
