(Should I make a Book 2? Yes or no? I'd like to make one but I'd also like your input ^^)
I woke up on the cold wood floor, my head throbbing and pounding as if it was hit with a hammer. I looked around the room and sat on my knees. I put my hand to my head, a little bit above my ear. There was a large bump, and I flinched when my fingers made contact with it. I slowly stood up, holding onto a chair. I steadily walked outside, seeing that the whole Glade was getting dark. I'd been passed out for a few hours. Dinner was surely starting soon. I walked over to the Med Jack's tent. They both stared at me, confused.
"What'd you do to your head?" One asked.
"I didn't do it...the Greenie did..." I mumbled as I crossed my arms.
"Why would he do something like that?" The other asked.
"Beats me. He seems like a creep anyway." I said.
"Calm down (Y/n). You're overreacting! What'd he even do that'd give you a bump like this?" He questioned.
"I was going to grab something to eat when I heard rustling in the background. I went back to see what it was and when I looked back the Greenie charged at me, knocking me out." I said.
"That's ridiculous! (Y/n), we know you're a bit suspicious, but you can't go around making up stories about the Greenie." He said.
"Fine! No one believes me anyway!" I yelled as I stomped out and into the Deadheads.
I kicked the dead trees angrily. How could they not believe me! Something was off about him, no matter what anyone said.
I walked around the Glade, bored out of my mind. I was looking into the Door when the Greenie walked up to me, arms behind his back.
"What do you want?" I said rolling my eyes.
"Listen, I'm new here. I didn't mean to...uh.....hurt you." He started, his fringe covering one of his icy blue eyes.
"So why did you? Hm?" I said with my hands on my hips.
Just then, the Door behind me began to close. The Greenie laughed and then silently whispered, "Because I was told to."
"Wha-"
Before I could finish, he pushed me into the Maze. He smiled devilishly and waved goodbye as the Door closed.
I looked around frantically. The walls were covered in vines. I banged against the metal door screeching for help. I slowly stopped banging gradually, until it was only a faint tap. I silently sobbed, knowing I wouldn't be able to get out unless I survived the night. I quickly looked around listening to the sounds in the Maze. I heard shifting gears, coming and going throughout the Maze. I started to climb the vines, hoping I could stay up on the wall the whole night. No one had time me about the maze except that I couldn't go in. I was mentally and physically unprepared for what was in here.
~Cole's POV~
I looked around the Glade for (Y/n). I wanted to talk to her, ask how her day was. I had a weird feeling she was avoiding me since I told her I liked her. I haven't seen her since the Greenie came, but even then she seemed a little off from her usual self. I ran up to Newt and Alby, knowing they'd probably know where
(Y/n) is."H-hey guys, have you seen (Y/n)?" I said panting.
"No. She wasn't in the kitchen helping Frypan with dinner when I went to talk to her." Newt replied.
"I haven't seen her since she fell in the Box earlier. After that she hasn't been around much." Alby said coldly.
Alby doesn't seem to care much for her.
"Why do you care?" Newt said harshly.
"Because I'm her friend." I said as I turned around and walked away.
Soon enough we had a fire to celebrate another person coming to the Glade. I stayed off to the side, avoiding the awful yelling of the other boys. I went to walk back to where I sleep when I bumped into someone. Their drink spilled and shattered on the ground. My hazel eyes quickly met with an icy blue pair.
"S-sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." I stuttered as I tried to avoid eye contact.
"It's okay. My name is Gray. What's yours?" He said with a smile.
"Cole...Hey wait...you're the new Greenie. Have you seen (Y/n) around?" I asked, hoping he'd know.
His eye twitched when he heard her name and his breathing got slightly heavier.
"No. I haven't." He mumbled something else that I didn't quite hear and then walked away.
~Gray's POV~
Stupid. He's never gonna see her again. She won't survive more than an hour or so in the Maze. The Grievers will tear her apart and eat her sickening face. Just the thought of her coming back makes me cringe. Once this is over, I can go back to head quarters and be done with this mess.
