6. Special Day

(Tiffany's view)

It's 10:50 a.m right now, I am here. Where is he? The park is so big, can he find me?

I'm wondering if he can find me in such a huge park.

It's 11:05, I still don't see him yet. I start to walk around and looking for someone who wears a mask and a black hat. Maybe he forgot...

As I feel a little sad, my cellphone rings.

"It's me... Where are you? I'm already here in the park, standing on the BP Bridge." I can recognize the voice, it's rally him!

"I've already been in the park for 15 minutes. I was start to think that you couldn't make it... Well, now I am at the Crown Fountain! Let's go to the cloud gate, we can meet there." I tell him the location and we find each other quickly.

"Good morning, Tiffany." He says with still wearing the mask.

"Good morning, Tom!" Gosh I'm so nervous. I even couldn't sleep well last night!

We find ourself a bench and sit down. I take my note book out, "Do you mind I take a record of you?"

"It's Ok, but not video recording. I need some privacy." He says to me politely.

"Got it, I won't take any picture of you. Thank you for cooperation! Let's get started!"

(20 minutes later..)

"That's all! Thank you so much. They will be saved in my note book, for doing some research without mention any of your personal information. I won't pubilc it to anyone, don't worry!" I say to him gratefully.

"That's fine, thank you too. By the way, have you eat something? I think we can have lunch together. I found a special restaurant on my way here." He says.

He is asking me for lunch! I was going to buy a drink for him... Having lunch together sounds better.

" I'd love to. Lead the way please!"

We cross the Madison Street. There is a restaurant named Pizano's pizza & pasta. We enter and sit down in the table by the window. Each of the pizza and sandwich looks delicious! I remember that Teresa once told me she found a pizza place. Maybe it's this one. Well, I'll try it first now.

"Hey Tom, which flavor do you pre...fer?" I didn't finish my words because I see him taking the mask off for the first time. 

"....Is there someting wrong?" He notices that I'm staring at him.

"I just... I didn't see your whole face because you always wear that mask." He looks older than I thought. But he's the kind I'll call handsome. 

I blush and look away. "L..let's have some pizza and drinks! The flavored sparkling juice looks great." 

"Good choice. Then I'll have another flavor so we can share our opinion."

(30 minutes later)

After lunch, we go outside to have a walk. Since he took off the mask, I haven' t saw his eyes over five times... Or it would make me blush again.

His cellphone rings. He picks it up. "....What is it?..... No." His face becomes serious. 

What happen?

"....All right, fine, I'll handle it." He hangs up the call. 

"You're leaving? It's ok. It sounds important." I say to him.

"Yes, I have to go. Are we....done?"

"Of course, that's all." I say to him smilingly. In my heart I hope I can see him again, without any business purpose.

"I see... Well, I want to tell you something. Tom Smith... is not my real name." He gives me a smile. But it only appears for a second. And then he turns away and leaves.

"What!?" I can't believe he lied to me!

He doesn't stop and keeps walking...

"I knew it!" I yell at him, and watch him disappear in the corner.

(6:00 p.m)

In the afternoon, I went to a library to do my research and study until night. (But I couldn't stay focus because of him..) Before going home, I go to 'WASAI' to buy a coffee.

"Still the same, thanks." I say to the waitress. 

"There is a coffee paid in advance... just for you! So you don't have to pay this time." The waitress says.

What?? Who paid for me?? "Excuse me, who paid it for me? Did the person leave a name?" I ask her.

"Yes, the name is..... Aiden."
