24. In the grave

It's 5:20 p.m now.

I receive an address from Clara, who wants to meet me now. Although I want to see Jacks tonight, it's time for me to focus on Nicky... She was kidnapped by Damien. Hope he can understand, if not, then at least I'll bring his mother back to him, and take them to a safer place.

Putting on the coat, I call Tiffany to tell her that I can't go with her tonight... Will she get angry? I don't know.

She doesn't answer the phone. I call again but she still not answer... She must be busy now. I decide to text a message, maybe she'll call back to me.

It took me 10 mins to drive to the destination -- the Northwest of The Wards. I park the car at the street side, and walk to the river bank. Waiting for Clara, I think of my sister. I don't know if she's alright... If Damien dare touch her, I'll not let him run from this.

I've just lose everything. My hard drives, my network access. Alright, I need to get back online. Where's Clara? Be careful, Aiden. Don't pull her into this. It's been dangerous that I let Tiffany get involved in this situation.

''Here.'' Clara appears and takes out my hard drive to give me.

''Thanks.'' I say.

She looks unhappy. ''Those men? Who are they?''

I shake my head and say, ''I don't know. They must've picked up on the ctOS search.''

''That's why I wanted to see you. Dedsec says that someone else has the system back. I took it, and I gave it to you --'' She points at me.

''Well hold on, I didn't give it to anyone. I wouldn't.'' I claim.

''We need to trust each other.''

But you didn't!!

I get a little mad because every time when I talk with her, she just didn't care what I wanted to say. It's been really hard to reach a consensus with her. ''You know what? I don't have time to soothe you, Clara. If you don't trust me, there's nothing I can do.'' I keep saying, ''Someone shot up my motel room, my sister's gone, and I have nothing!''

Seeing her lowing down her head, I point at her, ''You are not my priority right now." I turn around and walk to the bank, thinking of Jacks, and worry Nicky...

''No, I know that. Of course.'' She says and walks to me. ''Do you know this place? Somewhere near here -- is supposed to be the first test site for ctOS. It is known as the bunker. At least that's how the urban legend goes.''

I look at the island in front of me, on the other side of the river. There is a building that looks like a waste factory. It seems old and useless, but I can feel a mysterious dignity from it. ''The bunker? What with access to the entire city?''

''Undetected access. I've done months of research on it. City planning. Zoning documents. Things they don't want us to see.'' She points at the front, ''There's a blank spot on every map. Right over there. Ish. And... you've lost your damage deposit on the motel.''

She's right. Except the existing hide-out, I have no place to store more complete and rich electronic equipments. In this castle, I can dig more treasures from it. ''Let's find it.''

We need to find a way inside that bunker. Undetected access to the whole city? I could use a break right now. There's a iron bridge, but it's parallel to the river. It probably needs a remote control to make it work... Then where's the owner? I look around and see a security camera hanging on a street light. I hack in and trace back to the monitor record of daytime.
