Charlotte POV

I woke up with Marshall Lee, my stuffed Orca, strangling in my grasp and my laptop threatening to fall to its doom. Groaning, I set it down next to me and released Marshall Lee from my clutch.

"At least I've got curtains." I looked over towards the long white curtains that blocked the suns rays, blessing them.

Stretching, I realized there was a problem. I was hungry and there was no food.

I reached into my dresser, pulling out my favorite pair of leggings, even if they were all the same. I slipped them on along with a army green button up. The temperature had warmed up a bit and it was sunny out. I managed to pull my hair into a messy bun while bucking my favorite sandals.

I decided to take the lift again; I was getting lazy. I was alone this time, so I took the time to check myself in the mirror on the back wall. I looked alright, but it was the morning, I think. I didn’t even bother to check the time when I left. I pulled out my phone, “Three o'clock!” I looked up at my makeup less face, embarrassed. The doors opened, exposing me to the waiting residents. I dug around my bottomless purse for my sunglasses to hide the terrible bags hanging beneath my hazel eyes.

I smiled to the woman holding her young daughter and a business man straightening his tie. They didn’t respond, just brushed past me and continued on with their business. I started walking to the corner near Starbucks; I remembered there being a small market somewhere around there. When I got there I figured out I was right, there was a market about a block from Starbucks. I took a basket and began filling it with yummy goodies.

After paying for everything I realized I would have to lug all my groceries back home. That didn’t seem so fun. I was right; the walk took about three times as long and caused me to get all sweaty. I was also pretty sure the ice cream melted. I should start thinking about public transportation or buying less.

After putting everything away and having a few spoonfuls of ice cream soup I took a long shower. There was no instant inspiration for any writing this time. After drying off completely I slipped on one of my favorite sundresses and a cardigan. I had finally decided to do some shopping; it was time I actually had some fun. I found out the route I had to take on the bus and when it left. I had a decent amount of time, about 45 minutes. I took that time to apply my makeup and find my favorite flats.  I was almost late because I finally decided to wear a beanie that matched my cardigan well.

I was practically running to the bus stop when I saw a long bus pull up. I took a window seat in the middle, alone. The bus was not what I was expecting.

Yes, I was actually expecting a red double decker bus. I wasn’t completely disappointed, the bus was red.

We were there quicker than I thought, but maybe I was distracted by a handsome boy in a uniform. When we were filing off the bus he let me go first and my cheeks flushed. We went separate ways though, which left me upset. I found myself wondering if he worked at a pretzel stand; I really liked pretzels.

The shopping centre was heaven; all my favorite shops were at my fingertips. I rushed into Topshop, pretty much pulling thousands of jumpers from the racks. I loved the cozy feeling of a jumper hugging my stomach, so I bought five. It was a little expensive, but since my mother paid the down payment I had an extreme shopping budget.
