Louis POV
Lotts jumped back away from me, almost scared. I hadn’t realized what I was doing. What about Eleanor? Who was this girl anyways? She reads me a few poems and I’m hooked? That’s not how it works.
“I’m sorry.” Hurriedly I backed off the bed, never breaking the eye contact.
“Louis,” her voice broke, causing me to stop in place.
“I’m sorry,” I repeated mindlessly.
“It’s okay. I’m sorry too.” She was already off her bed, making her way towards me.
“I didn’t know what I was doing. I know Harry likes you and you like him, or not because you have a boyfriend. I’m sorry.” I heaved, backing towards the door.
“What!” That’s when she toppled over laughing, dropping to her knees.
“What?” Meeting her, I dropped to my knees with a confused smirk forming on my face. “What is it?” My voice was shouting with urgency over her hoots.
“Harry doesn’t like me! I don’t like Harry! I’m not even sure if I have a boyfriend anymore!” She crossed her legs, leaning against her bed.
“What?” I crawled across the floor, plopping next to her, “but you two during the movie and…and what?” My mind was running around in circles. “That arse!” She let out a little laugh.
“He’s so stupid, as is Niall. Harry tried to make you jealous, I have no idea why. He knows you’re with Eleanor.”
“Yeah…well I should be going.” I pushed myself up off the floor, pulling her along also. “We should all hang out again; all the boys think you’re a hoot.” My phone buzzed with eagerness, “One second.”
I turned on my heels, facing away from her. My eyes narrowed at the caller, “Yeah, Mack, what is it?” My toes started to tap impatiently against her floor.
“Yeah, Louis, we’ve scheduled a television interview for later in the week.” My mouth practically hung open with anger.
“What!” My teeth gritted against each other.
“Sorry bud, we know we promised last week was the end, but there were some rumors flying around on the album and we need to settle them.”
Without taking a breath I responded, “Can’t we settle them on Twitter or something?”
“Sorry bud, but it’s a quickie, in then out. I promise.” My fingers raced to hold the bridge of my nose.
“Yeah okay, fine.” The call ended on my behalf and I twirled back around to face Lotts.
She was positioned patiently on her bed, legs crossed and hands resting on her thighs. I could tell she was a little spaced out, but she soon realized my staring. “Hmm, what?” She jumped a little, pushing herself off the mattress.
“It’s nothing, just another interview. Maybe we can hang out after, yeah?” She ferociously nodded her head. “Here take my number, I might have lost yours.” I made a face of embarrassment as she handed me her journal and a pen. As I flipped to a clean page I took notice of all the filled pages of writing, absolutely amazed. I scribbled down my number and automatically signed my signature. “Sorry, habit.”
