Charlotte POV
Dazzling rays of sunshine shot through my pathetic drapes and to my opening eyes, “Argh!” I yelped before hiding in my blanket cocoon. I knew I couldn’t just waste the day away in bed…again; I was seeing Louis today. Ah Louis, just thinking about seeing him once again made my insides twist with joy. Sure, I’d seen him a few days ago and I’d talked to him in-between to confirm our outing, but he just made me giddy.
After his little interview he’d take me to lunch and to some “real sightseeing” as he called it. I’d been allowed to join along for the interview, but I’d rather not. What if I was questioned or mentioned? Overall I hadn’t attracted that much public attention, just the title of “mystery girl with Louis Tomlinson.” Once again I was lucky; nobody knew my name, let alone my address.
“Lunch with Louis, lunch with Louis,” my phone bellowed its robotic voice throughout the room. Obviously it pronounced his name wrong, but that didn’t delay the panic seizing my body. Was I late? My suddenly energized legs broke the blanket cocoon around me, letting my eyes fall on the time. I had about a half an hour, including transportation. A high-pitched screech erupted from me as I bolted from the bed.
My entire flat was a mess; clothes were strewn across the floor. “C’mon, c’mon,” I grumbled under my breath as I sorted through my clothes hamper, “Ah ha!” I tugged a pleated black skirt from the pile of old clothes and dragged the skirt up my legs and began searching for a pair of thick tights and a suitable shirt. The weather was colder than before, if possible and the leaves were falling in buckets, it was beautiful. I’d yet to visit the park again, although it looks breathtaking from above.
A light pink strapless shirt found its way into my hand and onto my body, as well as thick tights with the London cityscape etched into them; it seemed appropriate. For once I let my hair fall into its naturally straight form, uneager for the messy bun I’d been living on. Luckily I had leftover makeup from yesterday and just touched it up a bit and scrubbed my teeth before throwing my bag over my shoulder and hurrying out the door.
Louis had instructed me to take a cab instead of train or bus since it was faster and he insisted on paying. He’d informed me that he had way too much money for one immature boy and loved to spoil people and I quote, “Should get used to it honey.”
After telling the driver the address and let him hurl me through me the traffic, the almost-kiss, as I referred to it, somehow slithered into my mind. Neither of us had mentioned the almost kiss and from what I understood it was a mistake, on my behalf as well. Both of us were in relationships, I had decided to sort of internally forgive Emilio and he had Eleanor. I’d come to the conclusion that Harry and Niall had fuelled the idea into both our minds so much that we believed it. He didn’t like me anymore than a friend and I was unsure of my feelings for him. My heart just didn’t accept the concept of ‘just friends’.
“Here we are,” although I knew Louis would be mad I paid for the cab ride myself and scurried out of the cab and scanned the tall building. My boots trudged up the steps and peeked inside, it wasn’t much, just a bunch of posters with pop stars on them. “May I help you?” A petite blonde emerged from the corner, holding folders in her hands.
