Percy POV
"What makes you think that we have demi-titans in the world? You and your gods would have found them, and killed them the first chance you get." Started Prometheus.
I just waited for him to finish screaming at me. "I believed you did, is that a crime to go off of just a feeling. You are the titan of forethought, so you tell me. Is my guess off base, and if not then why are you getting so defensive of bringing demi-titans here?"
The look on his face was one of dumbfounded shock, as if I had pulled his secrets right out of his mouth, but by the way his face changed to one of a little fear, that I was right one base with my assumption. I spoke quietly, to show that I was trying to keep everyone else calm.
"Prometheus, I can understand why you would think that we would kill them, because we used to be enemies, but now we aren't. I will offer them the same protection that I have offer you, and they will not be hurt. If you honestly believe that they are not safe here, then fine I can't force you to bring them here, however I was thinking that if we could get all the help that we could, we just might stand a chance against Tartarus. This war might just not be a fool's errand that will end with all of us dead, or worse."
Before Prometheus could reply, it was Rhea surprisingly that spoke up. "Percy, it's not that they are unsafe here, it is that we can't get them. We are bound by the same laws that the gods are. We are not supposed to have any contact with our children. However let us talk this over amongst ourselves, because this is a private matter for many of the Titans. Our children are not like you. They are much stronger, because they come from older blood. They still inherit the powers of the parent but on a greater scale then demigods do. Imagine you before you were a wolf, how powerful you were then. That is about what the weakest of our children are. They are extremely powerful, and if they desired could destroy this camp. The only person besides a god, with the amount of power that our strongest has is you. You may, and I stress may, be able to handle them, but your campers could be wiped off the face of the planet. We must make sure that if we do bring them all together that we do it in such a way that everyone knows we are friends and allies now. Is that reasonable?"
I nodded, and turned towards the gods. "I need all of you to swear that you will not harm their children when, and if, they are brought here." Zeus stood up and said, "On behalf of the council, and all of the other gods, I swear on the Styx that no harm will come to the children by our hands." Thunder rumbled in the distance sealing the oath. I nodded, and turned toward Lycaon.
"Lycaon, does your pack mind this opportunity to help get demigods, and hopefully eventually demi-titans to this camp?" He crossed his arm over his chest, and said,
"We would be honored to. It will be killing two birds with one stone honestly. We will get your family here." With that he nodded, and the other leaders of his pack left, but not him. I nodded towards him understanding. I looked back at the gods, and said,
"I need a list of every single one of your children so that they can get started right away." They nodded, and a book appeared at my feet. I smiled, and leaned over to pick it up. When I touched, I could tell that this book would be beyond important. I gingerly, handed it to Lycaon, and said,
"Please get them here. I am trusting you with this information. Please don't abuse that."
He nodded, and took off towards his pack. Hopefully soon we would have a much bigger chance. Along with a better opportunity at peace. I looked around, and said,
"Does anyone else have anything to add to the meeting?" When I saw blank looks on all of the faces, I nodded, and the gods flashed out, while the titans walked back to their area. I just smiled, and stood there. I heard footsteps, come up behind me. I turned, and saw Leo standing there with Calypso.
"What can I help you guys with?" Leo looked at me, and said,
"Calypso wants to learn sword play. She wants to help us in the battle, and she won't take no for an answer right now." I smiled, because I knew exactly how stubborn she could be. I pulled out Riptide, and said,
"Ok well first we need to get her a sword." I walked over to the racks around the perimeter of the [arena, with her following me. We tried sword after sword, but none seemed to fit her. I agreed albeit grudgingly because if she wanted to fight she would need a weapon. I looked around, and found a small dagger that had been left off of the rack. I picked it up, in order to put it away, but before I could, Calypso yelled out
"No wait let me see that one." I nodded my head kind of curious, because the dagger was old, and very worn. When she took ahold of it, I could see it in her face that it was perfect. She smiled, and practiced swinging it a little bit.
"You sure you don't want something a little newer? I mean that one has been used for a while now, and it isn't very sharp." She just smiled, and looked towards Leo. Then I understood, she could have him make it better, and probably even add some magic to it. She was trying to give Leo something to do that he loved. He loved working with his hands on a project. I nodded, and changed my sword into a dagger that matched hers. She looked at me, but I said,
"If you are going to learn to fight, it would be better if you used a sharp blade. It will let you learn how much strength to put into a strike, as well as what it feels like in your hands." She nodded, and we traded weapons quickly. I called Leo over, and said,
"Hey Leo, can you refurbish this for Calypso, and can I borrow your sword while we spar?" He smiled, and pulled a sword out of one of his belt pockets, and handed it to me. While he took the dagger and looked at it with fondness, as if it were a child that he wouldn't let out of his sight. Then he got a wicked grin, and quickly ran towards the forge, wanting to get started right away. I smiled, that was definitely Leo. Once he got a project, there was nothing you could do to stop him till it was completed. I turned around, and saw Calypso in a ready stance. I smiled this would definitely be interesting. After all she was a titan, and extremely strong. She may not have the skill yet, but strength can be a big difference in battle that may take a while. I charged at her, and she stood there smiling. My only thought was crap what have I got myself into this time?
______________ Time skip______________
I groaned as I flopped down on my bed in my tent. Calypso was good. She was definitely a tough opponent, and I was happy she was on our side. We beat each other black and blue, as we fought. It ended up being a tie, as we both collapsed from exhaustion. When we both finally caught our breathes, she said, "You're good. I've trained with the best knife wielding titan, and yet I still couldn't beat you. I expected to wipe the floor with you honestly, but I'm impressed. Well done."
I nodded an acknowledgement at her statement, and unable to form more than one word said, "Ditto."
As the memory faded away, I smiled, yes we were both skilled fighters, but I think if we had used powers, it would have been different. This war was definitely going to be interesting for the fighters.
I was actually pretty excited to get this war over with. Not just for me, but for everyone else that I know. Many of the campers have fought in more than one war, and shouldn't be fighting in this one, however at least it will be a little easier. Also the fact that I have a life now outside of the campers. I have a family that will love me forever, and who I will love for the same. I smiled as I closed my eyes preparing to get a long sleep.
