Percy POV

Several Months later

I was lying in bed when I saw a sliver flash appear outside my tent. I smiled as Artemis walked

in. It had been forever since we had had any alone time together, but this time it was different.

Normally I would be having to keep control of all the groups to keep the peace, but tonight was

going to be different. I got Chiron to watch the Greek campers, and Lupa to watch the Roman

campers then Rhea to keep an eye on the other titans, and demi-titans, because tonight I was

going to take Artemis on a date in the city. That was the plan at least until she walked in with a

frown on her face. I quickly sat up waiting for her to explain what was wrong. She came and sat

next to me and huffed in frustration. I looked over, and gave her a questioning look which she

immediately understood. She laid her head in her hands while I waited patiently while she tried

to find the words she needed.

"Percy are you sure that we can do this? This war I mean. Do you honestly think that we can win

against the pit?" I slowly took in her word and waited to see if she was done talking. When I

realized that she was in fact done, I slowly wrapped my arms around her and pulled her in close.

When she looked up at me I said,

"Artemis you asked me if I believe we can win this, and honestly I don't know. That is not up to

me to decide, it is up to the fates, however, I will fight my hardest to win. I will fight until I am

unable to lift my sword, and still I will fight. I don't fight for me I fight for those who are behind

me, and can't fight. I fight for those who are too scared, or to young. You see its not for me,

which has always given me an advantage."

She nodded slightly, but I could still tell that she was worried. Instead of sitting there and letting

her think about it I grabbed her hand and pulled her to her feet and said, "Artemis go get dressed

we've got a date tonight and I don't plan on missing it for anything. Now go" while gently

pushing her out of the tent so that I could get ready too.

I smiled as I went to my cot and put the clothes on that we're already laying on the bed ready for

me. This was definitely going to be an amazing night. As I put on the pants I reached I the pocket

to make sure that my little surprise was still tucked inside. When I stepped out of my tent I

looked at the cabin, and the girls practically shoved Artemis out the door. Before they closed the

door I saw Thalia give me a sly wink and then quickly shut the door. I smiled as I saw Artemis.

She looked amazing in a silver dress that had sleeves that came down to her mid-forearm and the

bottom came down to her calf. All in all it was very appropriate for what I had planned, and

honestly I couldn't have pictured her looking any more beautiful. I smiled and reached out my
