"Bye, sweetie, I'm gonna miss you!" said my grandma, Maria, the person I love the most in my life.
"Me too, gran" I say with small tear running down my face.
I let her go from the strong hug, I look at her face again trying to memorize every little detail, every small wrinkle by her eyes.
"Tell your aunt to call me, you call me and please tell every detail of everything" she says and I nod with my head suppressing a little giggle, she can be more dramatic than me "and remember – I'm your number one fan" her smile appeared for the first time today and I couldn't but help but to get more emotional.
"Okay, gran"
I tried my best to give her a convincing smile. We said goodbye one last time and I turned around putting on a brave face. I start to walk down to my gate at the airport whipping away my tears.
After I find my seat, I try to get comfortable – what is almost impossible in this small space, but I did try my best. I looked out of the window and wished the flight to be quick and everything to run smoothly.
When I noticed that we were about to take off I turn off my phone and closed the window – I didn't want to look cause I was too scared, that's a thing me and my grandma have in common – we kinda hate flying, I just panic, afraid of dying but she's actually scared of heights, which thank god I'm not.
To my luck everything went alright, I even managed to get some sleep. It was middle of afternoon when I landed in nice Pennsylvania, it was a chilled day for the end of summer, but I wasn't complaining.
After arriving I was looking for my luggage while trying to turn my phone on. As soon as it turned on I saw a massage from my cousin, Sam, who is picking me up from the airport. I get my bags first and than respond saying I was on my way to the arrivals gate.
