"It's okay dad and I'm sorry for snapping at you like that."

"Can you promise me something dad?"

"I know it's asking a lot but can you promise me that no matter what, if I ask you to let her stay here, you will let her?"
"Okay, I can promise you that."

"You're welcome. I'm going to make some soup and a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches; do you want me to make you any?"
"No thanks, I'm not really hungry."
"Okay, well I think after I'm done eating, I am going to get a shower and hit the pillow. I'm pretty tired today."
"Yeah, I'm going to get a shower and probably go to bed soon myself. Goodnight dad."

It's a little after eight when I get out of the shower and even though I am tired, I decide to stay up until ten just in case Faith calls me when she gets off of work. I decide to send her a quick text to ask her to do just that.
Me: How's my pretty girl?
Faith: Tired, sweaty, dirty & missing my boyfriend terribly. How is my sexy man doing???
Me: Missing my girlfriend.
Faith: What r u doing right now?
Me: Just got out of the shower.
Faith: R U NAKED????
Me: LOL no.
Faith: Prude.
Me: Disappointed?
Faith: Extremely!
Me: I might b dressed but I'm still cold.
Faith: Why R U cold?
Me: Because ur not here 2 keep me warm ;-)
Faith: I know; I'm dreading going home 2 my empty bed 2nite.
Me: U can always come here.
Faith: By the time I get out of here I will b ready for a hot shower & a pillow.
Me: I tried anyhow :-(
Faith: U sure did.
Me: If u aren't 2 tired when u get out of there maybe you can call me for a quick minute? I would love to hear your voice.
Faith: I can call u a little after 10 for a minute. I want to at least hear u tell me goodnight.
