WE

ARE ALL

DAMAGED,

BUT BECAUSE

OF HER,

I AM BEAUTIFULLY

SEWN.

-Christopher Poindexter-

Before I can scream at him to get out of my room, my door slams as soon as he ducks out into the hall.

A small yep escapes my mouth when Faith lifts her hips off of me before she scrambles to find her clothes.

"Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my fucking god!" Faiths voice is high and strained with panic.

"Shit." Is the only thing I can think to say because I am still so shocked that my dad just walked in on the two of us having sex.

I never thought I would be one of those people that get caught by their parents.

Guess I was wrong...

I might be considered an adult now but at the moment, I feel like a child that is about to get the worst scolding of his life.

I can handle the wrath of my father but I don't know if Faith can.

Right now, I want to throw a blanket over Faiths naked body and drag her out of my bedroom window so we can run away and never have to face my father after what he just saw.

The sound of Faith sniffling, snaps me out of my panic and when I look up to see her almost completely dressed and crying, my panic shifts to her emotional state.

"Please don't cry Faith." I say as softly as I can.

"He's going to kick me out! I just know he's going to kick me out." Her words are rushed and her tear filled eyes are wild as she looks at me.

"No he won't. Come here." I say as I hold my arms out to her.

I have to fight hard not to burst into laughter.

I mean, it is sort of comical that my dad walked in on us and I can see, that one day, him and I cracking jokes about it.

But dad and I are close like that.

Faith is freaking out and I can't say I blame her but I think she is being a little more dramatic than she needs to be.

"No! I can't! I need to get out of here! I can't face your father after what he just saw." Faith blurts out in a rush of words as she begins to bolt across my bedroom floor.

I can't move my body fast enough and end up flipping my chair across the room with one of my crutches in my haste, as I see the horror of Faiths overwhelming panic.

She has my bedroom window open and is nearly halfway out the window before I reach her and grab her ankle as I do my best to balance my weight on one of my crutches.

The urge to laugh is now completely gone.

This, her wanting to leave, this is not funny...
