The news of the Night Cat's passing was first aired in the United States. Was it not for the infection, the Asians would've surely celebrated at Bristolia's loss. Instead, the citizens of he States are gloomy and horrified. The United States of Asia lost hope and its Union became undone.

In Asia, the story was the Night Cat fought valiantly for the human race and died fighting against hordes of the infected. Kassandra the Vampire was the people's last hero.

The news of the Night Cat's death was aired several days later in the Quarters. The Bristolians whimpered Felix's name at first, then after a few days began yelling it. The Quarters cried for war. They believed the infection was a lie, part of a larger plot to assassinate the Catman. The Night Cat was phenomenon and a hero who wanted to serve the human race. To Bristolians, the Asians commuted a crime against humanity.

The Asian FBI arrived on the scene to find Foresight already lifting the human body out of the temple. Tempers flared. Guns came out.

The commanding Foresight operative demanded they be allowed to take their countryman home, but the local authority reminded him Foresight was out of bounds. The argument didn't stop until Foresight took Felix's body away.

Felix's corpse was infected, as Ops predicted.

They tied it down and brought Felix's parents to it. The father was louder. The mother said nearly nothing and just shook her head.

The body was twitchy and heavily scarred. There were scratches throughout the skin-tight suit. The legs were befouled as if God himself had flicked them awry. There was an odd hole in his chest.

Mrs. Godinez stood by her son's corpse and couldn't feel the Felinity within it anymore. The body so dearly wanted to bite at her flesh, but the binds didn't allow it.

Mr. Godinez was in tears and cried out in Spanish, "Snarls and slobber, this is what they've reduced you to! Go to God's kingdom because this world can't be fixed!"

The Feline Within Mrs. Godinez hummed as she touched the body's cold, flooded chest. Her lips curled neither way as she and her husband went.
