I slide on my paw pads to make it into the final atrium. I immediately smell the Overlord's scent but can't find its source. The Inner Feline shakes uncontrollably within me. My heart beats wildly, too. I might die here, so far away from Kassandra or anything familiar.
I clutch a cold, unfeeling arrowhead. I slide it into my wrist weapon; the arrowhead almost as indifferent as the marble floor underneath my hind paws.
The room is eerily quiet and its vibrant, gold-rimmed architecture somehow make me more uneasy. It is all very pretty, I think, How and where did he get all this? It looks like the inside of God's lunchbox.
A pair of marble lion statues seem to hiss at me.
"You like what you see?" booms the Overlord's voice. I strain my ears for some direction, but I still can't find him in the vast atrium. "Don't bother. Nothing will go your way here," he says.
"I'm not afraid," I say.
"You know what needs to happen, don't you?"
I look around desperately, having established two of my other senses are of no use.
From seemingly out of nothing, a young, muscular figure comes into my view. The Feline Within me sputters and jolts angrily. And I now recognize who's come before me.
"You've done it now," I comment.
The Overlord, now in possession of a rejuvenated, vampire body, lets his heavy robes fall to the ground as white fur sprouts from beneath his shiny skin.

One Hour Earlier
The president has signed an executive order granting the Foresight program exclusive privileges in Korea. Felix, Carolyn, Agent Seven and the Foresight squads step off an Osprey and into friendly Korean hands. During briefing, we were told the Overlord and his sentries boarded Bristolian ships one by one and murdered their crews. Coastal cities are now at the mercy of the Overlord's fleet and under threat of hellfire, should they refuse to supply the fleet with the Overlord's demands.
Based on the materials being transferred to the fleet, Ops suggests the Overlord has biological weapons aboard at least one of the ships. It may be the same agent that brought the infection to the United States of Asia.
The Korean government knows the Overlord, Overwatch, and the very fleet that has its guns aimed at its citizens are all product of Bristolia, yet they've entrusted their parasite problem to Foresight. The rest of the world can't believe it all.
We arrive ahead of schedule, wheeling large, heavy, cylindrical objects off the Ospreys and onto Korean soil. Thick, blue drapes lay over these things, just in case Overwatch spies lie among the Koreans.
And that's what the Foresight agents did. They all hauled their artifacts to the coast, where trucks awaited. There was one truck per blue-draped thing. The agents loaded the objects up and scurried into the cabs. The ships in the distance looked funny - like a boy's bathroom toys.
For a decent while, the trucks did not move. The people inside, however, were rowdy as hell.
Eventually the agents seemed to quit their shenanigans. The trucks roared awake, one at a time. They creeped forward, as if shy, then blasted off in the direction of the ocean. Carolyn looked over the wheel with a face of fierce determination - the dark waters ahead the same hue as her eyes, but not quite as intense. She forced the truck into gear and floored it.
---------
The goggles and re-breathers came on last, moments before the trucks took in water. The trucks didn't splash or splosh, they splurged then sputtered and died. Nevertheless, they drifted warmly forwards, spewing bubbles from all sides. The Foresight agents somehow managed to open the doors and dive out of the trucks as the water dived in. The drapes came straight off of the cylinders and flew to the water's surface, begging the sun for help.
Seven, donning his Overwatch suit and gear, swam to one of the black machines the agents loaded onto his truck. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Felix clutching at his neck.
"Help the boy!" Seven barked, pointing at poor Felix. Seven moved on, starting up the Swimmer Delivery Vehicle as he had trained to do. "Thanks," Felix said, gasping for air. The agent who helped Felix gave a thumbs up and swam to his SDV. Seven shot Felix a glare. Felix moved his arms into a "I Dunno" kind of expression.
There were three SDV's: Seven commanded the first squad, Carolyn commanded the second, and Felix was a member of the third.
Felix felt strange. It was all strange to him. Water was all around him, but it wasn't attacking him. At least not anymore. He took a deep breath and held on to the SDV tightly. This train was gonna take a bit.

The Overlord's fur was albino-white; his eyes, black. Like charcoal briquettes. They didn't shine in the white-gold atrium. He was larger than the Night Cat, and like his adversary, had no tail. Disregarding color and size, the two appeared exact copies. They were hunched in the same way, and tip-toed on their hind paws.
The Night Cat nodded at his nemesis then fell into his cat stance, keeping his claws withdrawn. The Overlord cocked his head quizzically, then released his sharp claws. They were jagged, rough, unpolished, and unlike the Knight remembered his own.
The ship began to tip nastily, giving the Overlord the advantage. This impostor took the opportunity and pounced. The Night Cat dived out of the way and shot his wrist weapon before he touched the ground again. The Overlord deflected the arrowhead without even looking and followed up with a flurry of slashing attacks. The Cat dodged the first few swipes then drove the Overlord's claws into the marble ground. It took a few attempts, but the Overlord eventually broke free. He then underestimated how quick they actually were. The Cat bounced off the nearest wall and kicked his enemy in the jaw.
The Overlord jerked away, holding his face with his snowy paws. Blood met marble, and tooth came through shortly. The Cat drop-kicked the bleeding bastard in the back then retreated to his cat stance. The Cat calmed his breathing and waited for his opponent to sort himself out.
The Overlord's mouth and paws were no longer so white. He let his face go then smiled at the black human-cat before him. The bleeding had already stopped. His eyes flashed scarlet, then regressed to their lame black again.
---------
The Foresight agents had reached their destination: the Overwatch destroyer. Felix floated out of his SDV once ordered and swam to the surface. He popped his head out and found no one waiting for him. His Sentinel gave him the cue. The Night Cat then splashed his way toward the thick hull and dug his claws into it. He scaled upwards, the water nipping at his heels, if not enveloping him completely. He reached the top and alerted an Overwatch guard. The Cat squeezed through the handrail, loaded his weapon, and shot this problem. He then clipped ropes to the handrail and threw the body overboard.
