A few minutes later, Sofia's and Hugo's parents came.

"Oh, are you kids okay?" Roland asked.

"We're fine," Sofia and Hugo said.

"Oh, is it broken, sweetie?" Hugo's mother, Queen Samira, asked, looking at her son's arm.

"Aw, Prince Hugo just has a minor fracture," Lady Melody said. "He'll be healed in two weeks, but it's best to send him home for the day. It's okay for him to be here tomorrow."

"That's good because Sofia and I want to see our friends' reactions when they meet you," Hugo giggled.

Lady Melody laughed and let out a snort, and Sofia and Hugo started laughing at her snort.

"You like that?" Roland asked.

"They think it's funny," Lady Melody said. "As for Sofia, she's not contagious. With a little sleep for the rest of the day, she should be feeling better by tomorrow."

"Thank you, Lady Melody," Queen Miranda said happily.

"You know? I think this experience gave me an idea for my science project," Sofia admitted.

"What kind of idea?" Roland asked.

"Hugo's injury proves how dangerous it is to litter," Sofia said.

"That's true," Hugo said. "Now that you mention it, it gave me an idea for my project. I'm thinking of doing my project on the bones in our bodies."

"Clever," Lady Melody said. "Maybe my friend, Mr. Bonehead, can help you with that."

Lady Melody went and came back with a skeleton, much to Sofia and Hugo's horror.

"It's okay," Lady Melody said. "It's not a real skeleton."

"Do all the bones in our bodies look like that?" Sofia asked.

"Yes, you wouldn't have anything to break if you didn't have any bones," Lady Melody said. "But then you wouldn't be the athletes you are now. You'd be mushy and floppy."

Sofia and Hugo started giggling until Sofia let out a little sneeze.

"Bless you," Hugo said.

"The sooner you get home, Sofia, the sooner you'll feel better," Lady Melody said.

"Okay," Sofia sniffled.

"Feel better, Sofia," Hugo said.

"Thanks," Sofia sniffled.

Roland and Miranda escorted Sofia out and went to get Amber and James.

That night, in Albuquerque Palace, Hugo was telling his older brother, Axel, about his and Sofia's experience with Lady Melody.

"I can't believe everybody thinks Lady Melody is a wicked witch," Hugo giggled.

"Well, maybe when they get older, they'll learn not to judge new people so quickly," Axel declared as he signed his little brother's cast. "I still can't believe you crashed into that tree."

"I can't believe my injury is very minor from the crash, but I'm really happy it is," Hugo admitted. "The last thing I would've wanted was to break my neck."

"That's true," agreed Axel.

"If Lady Melody was a wicked witch—or pretending to be one—her wicked laugh would be really silly because she snorts," Hugo giggled.

Axel started laughingat Hugo's remark. "Maybe you're right, baby bro," he chuckled.
